How to add Pictures
I would like to add pictures of a device I placed for sale on the Marketplace. I can't seem to get them onto the post. Could someone give a step by step to a technologically challenged individual?

Re: How to add Pictures
Open the forum editor in your browser, then open your file explorer. Arrange them side by side. Find the picture you want, click and hold the left mouse button (or only mouse button if a Mac), then drag it over to the editor window and release the button.
Hopefully the file is not overly large; we have a limit on picture sizes, but offhand I don't remember what. If you get an error message, open the file in your picture editor and find the menu to reduce the file size.

Thanks, Tom. I did try and load them per your instructions, but the file size was too large. Trying to figure out how to reduce the file size.

Re: How to add Pictures
In your picture editor, there should be a Resize option. If your picture is (for example) 2400 x 1200 pixels, cut it in half (1200 x 600) and see how that works.

Re: How to add Pictures
Tom - I have a question. Nothing earth shattering but just curious. What do the different Icons mean that are posted beside each topic post on a forum. I am speaking of the grey flame inside a blue ring. Or a red ring with a red flame. A blue ring with lines in the ring. A red star on the ring.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: How to add Pictures
I had to get off my phone and open a browser to remember this.
Those are "Topic Icons." I thought there was a key for those, but I don't see it. @Schnoff probably lost it in one of the many, many upgrades that he's done.
The lines in the ring are test, which means it's a simple text post. It will change to a flame when it becomes hot.
The grey flame is a "hot" topic, one that has at least 25 reply comments.
The little star signifies a topic to which you have written a response.
Red icons are unread, or new.
Some have an "i", meaning that they are set as informational posts by the mods.
And obviously the lock designates posts that have been set by the mods to always appear, usually at the top of a forum.
Also, a little bar graph under the topic text shows that there's a poll.
Did I get them all?
