It appears that very few people post or reply here and just wondering if that means the chastity trend is over. It boomed when cheap clones appeared on the market. Prior to that you had to make a substantial financial investment for a fetish you may not even like and had odds against you liking it for long. Now the market is flooded and you can give it a try for under $25.

It also seems that most of the posters on the internet are self locking. Why anyone would want to deny themselves is still a mystery to me but those guys tend to come and go in a matter a weeks or months. Most of the fun of chastity is in being edged and teased daily by your key holder and remaining chaste not because you are locked up but because of the promise you made to your key holder. I also thing many newcomers are under the impression that locking up prevents you from having an orgasm. We all know that is not true.

So what is the state of chastity. Is it a dying fetish now that all those that wanted to try it have done so? The cuckold or hot wife fetish is still the most popular by far. I did that stuff in the early 70's before it was even a "thing". So where is everyone? What do you think about chastity? Is it on its way out or still growing? Is it just slow on this forum only or everywhere? I sometimes feel like I am one of a very few who are doing long term orgasm denial and everyday lockup. I tend to get very into my fetishes an commit myself to them. When I was in S&M, the pain I endured makes me squirm even today but I always go whole hog. Am a one of a few or just that most lurk and do not post? Will this post even get a reply?

You are not all alone. But, you have put your finger on something that I've been sensing. I'm a relative newby here but in the few months that I've been participating it seems to me that there are relatively fewer men contributing to the forums now than when I started. I certainly don't know why they're not but it would be more rewarding if more men were posting.

So ... if you're one of the guys who reads but doesn't post please consider this your personal invitation. We want to hear what you have to say.

I know that I left when this forum got hacked and so did a lot of others. Seems that many did not come back. Even now, to search you have to go to an outside search engine. If you do not read the warnings, which most new people will not, they are taken to outside sites by the code left behind which the owner is not interested in fixing apparently. I think that this forum will suffer the same faith of the other chastity forums that went before it. Without a lot of new content, it will die a slow death. It is a shame.

Fetlife.com is mostly self lockers who do not seem to know the difference between celibacy and chastity. Nothing against what they do but it is not chastity since it lacks a power exchange, key holder and sex. It is like buying a whip to whip yourself with and saying you are practicing S&M. Those guys come and go quickly so there is an ever changing list of posters. Cannot build any relationships there.

Chastity Mansion is run by self declared mistresses and a sissy or two. That is not my flavor of chastity and I refuse to treat the "mistresses" the way they demand of all men. So there really is no place to go anymore. Most of the forums read like fantasyland.

Realistically chastity is a very small fetish and mostly used as an accessory to a larger fetish like cuckolding. I was a bull up to 7 years ago and it is amazing how many guys wanted me to have sex with their wives. It was like being in a candy store. I cuckolded one husband for 25 years from his first date with his wife.

Let me end this. It will probably be my last post just like I seem to be the last poster on many posts. Just nothing here to keep me interested and an owner who obviously does not give a damn despite the efforts of his moderators who have limited power. If he does not care, why should anyone else. So bye to whatever few real chastity players are out there. There are some very good reality based chastity blogs out there, especially one by one of our moderators. What they lack is the ability to communicate with others, just the blogger.

Most of the sex forums on the internet are filled with guys living their sex lives online and not doing what they say they are. They have taken over the sex forums and getting a very distorted view of sex and who is really doing what. I look on in amusement when I see an obvious fake post. I mean an over the top one like the one I read last year where the chastity guy was outed to his family and friends who then took turns urinating on him, even his parents. Instead of being called out, all 15 replies expressed either envy or congratulations. What we have are guys sharing the same fantasy and few of them even realize that the others are also fakers. With that I will say goodbye. As with masturbation, I will have to live my chastity life by myself an my wife of course.

Hmmmm.... I’m not sure that I would agree that chastity itself is on the decline. I don’t look at as much porn as I used to, but when I do (say on Tumblr) there certainly seems to be far more where the guy is “locked” than there ever was before. I try to avoid the “pro-dome - dungeon scene” stuff if I can and focus on the “real-life FLR” blogs as much as I can, and certainly there the number of guys in chastity as part of their FLR seems, if anything, to be on the increase.

I haven’t been on Tumblr for a few weeks now, but the last time I looked the build-up to “Loctober” was generating real interest.

I think the problem with this forum is that some of the more prolific posters have moved on - it happens - and for the rest of us real-life just gets in the way. I am a naturally reticent person and tend not to say much unless I’ve got something to say. I do however try to check in most days.

The quality of debate here is very high, and the behaviour of the members is very good. We just need a couple more topics that stimulate discussion to get people like me to de-lurk - and if we can all make reference to this site when we post on other blogs or forums then I think people will take a look in here. If they do, I think they will like what they see and stick around. People will always come and go - we just need some fresh blood...

The proliferation of Tumblr posts, not to mention the constant upgrading of Chinese devices on Ebar, DHGate, AliExpress, and now Amazon would suggest that it's actually a growing market. However, chastity usually goes along with other interests - and I've seen it quite frequently paired with feminisation, sissyfication, cuckolding, female domination, and BDSM. This group is one of the few place where the focus is mainly chastity within vanilla relationships; the population has always been smaller.

And yes, some of the people move on to other things. Why? Quite possibly because once you've fallen into a groove, there's not a lot to write about anymore. How many times can you write about "Oh, I got locked up for three weeks last time," or "I've been denied for almost two months, I'm going crazy!" or "My wife keeps leaving the keys right out on her dresser, I wish she would hide them from me."

Web boards ebb and flow. The new subscribers keep coming in, and people continue to ask questions.

I also think that the trend is growing... underground. But that might be unreflected by the amount of posts in the forum. Why? simply because as soon as you have solved the practical problems that made you post questions, there might be less desire to post new topics when things have become "chastity as usual". Especially when you think you are a boring husband with no impressive chastity records or exciting event to tell.
No one would be interested to read that I've never been locked longer than 10 days. So, what would be the point to broadcast if the last release was 6, 7 or 8 days ago?

We (my wife & I) stepped away from chastity as we became very frustrated that any ball trap chastity device were easily defeated by pulling out unless one had a PA piercing. It took some doing but we have come up with a homemade solution (see our avatar) & we are now on day seven... hopefully our experimental model will be success.

Also, I have noticed the forum still has some bugs i.e. after viewing the new posts & click the board index button takes me to an outside (obviously spam) site. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't think it's necessarily chastity being in decline at all. I'm involved in a number of discussion forums, some sexual, some not, and they're all less active than 5-10 years ago. Possibly it's the rise of social media, twitter, and people having less time for reading/thinking/replying. Heck, I post less than I used to,so I'm partly to blame.
You hear less about CB radio these days, but there still seem to be a lot of truckers driving around. The locked men may be less obvious, but they're definitely out there!

Many of those who once filled the airwaves on CB have moved on to other frequencies because of too much 'hash and trash'. They are still out there, but if you lack the [modified] equipment to reach the other bands you will rarely hear them. There is far too much 'noise' in the CB band, people who actually want to communicate use the [technically illegal] 'freebands' above and below the 'normal' CB band.
