Pull-Out Detection Sensor

I've been lurking here for a while and my wife and I have played with Male Chastity off and on for a few years. One thing that has always been kind of a bummer for both of us is how easy it is to pull out of the trapped ball devices. I've tried various methods of making them more secure, but it always comes at the expense of comfort. Then I had an idea. Instead of worrying about security, what about accountability? A way for my wife to tell if I've tampered with or removed the device.

What I have come up with so far is a capacitive touch sensor, specifically the AT42QT1011, that attaches to the outside of the penis tube. This sensor is controlled by an Arduino microcontroller that will monitor the sensor, keep track of the time since the device was installed and write to a log on the micro SD card if it loses contact with the penis and the time and duration contact has been lost. The power source, so far a 9 volt battery, microcontroller and card reader would all be housed in a locking waterproof case that will probably be about the size of a deck of cards that could be worn on a belt. I've proven the concept using an Arduino Uno R3, Catamex Card Reader, AT42QT1011 capacitive sensor and a little program I wrote for it. You have to watch what sensor you use since some of them like the 1010 will recalibrate themselves after about a minute when detecting a continuous touch. All the parts to do this cost less than $25.00.

There is still a lot to figure out. It could be made a lot smaller using an Arduino Nano microcontroller or even an Arduino Trinket. I still haven't figure out a good mounting method for the sensor. Ideally, it would be built into the tube itself. I need to figure the case out as well.

It's been fun trying to figure all this out. Maybe a manufacturer will read this, and it will spark an idea. When I finally get a working prototype, I'll let you all know.

I have always been of the mind that I asked for chastity and I should not be pulling out. If it does come out by accident, I just tuck it back in. No cage is going to be 100% escape proof and you can cum anytime you want by just holding a vibrator against it. We just stopped worrying about it. I design electronics for a living and this project would be simple.
Select a PIC processor with touch input and code to write directly to a SD card. The Micro-SD would be by far the largest part and it could be made to run for months on a lithium button cell.

However there are two issues:
Firstly the tooling cost, to make the prototype. ~$300
Then I'm not quite sure how this works, as it's not going to be able to tell the difference between a penis and finger.

I knew posting here would be beneficial. I'll have to check into PIC processors. It sounds like something like this could be totally self contained on the device. I actually thought the tooling costs would be a bit more. Being able to use a finger is a good point, but this would still work for my wife and me since I would be stuck having to hold the device, or at least keep my finger on it, till everything was back in place. Otherwise, it would write to the log the amount of time the tube was not in contact with at least part of my body.

Different things work for different folks, but the inability to escape without detection really adds to the fantasy for us.
