What's the deal with a tube into your urethra?

I'm in my Steelworxx Looker 02, wearing a urethal insert for about 3 months now. I need to sit down to pee as urine flows not only through the tube, but also around it.

For me I like the "mind fuck". Compared to other devices it's a nice feeling that the penis won't move up and down. And it might be somewhat more secure (you probably can get out, but I won't get back in again).

I thought that the whole urethral tube thing was very strange and not for me, at first.

But, I decided to buy a device that had an insert (more so because it was cheap, I could easily clean myself while wearing it, and it was metal). I didn't really have any intentions of using the tube insert. But, when it came in the mail, I decided to try it. Whats the worst that could happen?

So,I bought some sterile lube (definitely want to make sure the tube is sterile to attempt to prevent UTIs). Then, I pushed the tube through the opening at the end of the cage and slowly penetrated the head of my "bits". It was slightly painful, but I decided to keep going with it. As I slowly pushed it in, it was definitely not an overly pleasurable feeling, but it wasn't painful like when I first pushed it in.

Then, when came the plug part, it has 4 round discs almost that are to plug the penis and prevent pee from escaping or it holds you to the end of the cage. I'm not exactly sure of the function to be honest. But, I took a deep breath and kept pushing and finally I had the whole thing inside me and I put the screw in it to hold it in.

Shock sort of set in like, holy crap, I just shoved a 7 inch tube inside of me. Now, I did end up shortening the tube insert (it measures about 4.5 inches now) for an extrememly comfortable fit. But, with the tube in, there is literally no escape for me. If the tube stretches out past the base ring, you cannot get it off.

I personally really enjoy the tube. I've never experienced what Look02 said about peeing around the tube. My pee has been going out the end of the tube without fail. Though, I don't stand at a urinal wearing it, I definitely like the aspect of having to sit down to prevent spraying. lol.

I'm in a Jailbird by Mature Metal, and if I align it properly I can pee standing up... Using a urinal or in the open... But never at home, where my KH insists I sit and pee... Not need for a urethral tube

How's far into the bladder does the tube extend? My concern would be for a bladder or urethral injury, especially if you are hit in the crotch or even bumped by someone/something.

Male urinary tract infections (UTI) are relatively rare in the course of normal life, and apparently pretty nasty if you get one.

There are several accounts on this forum on users getting a UTI after using an insert. It just seems too risky too me.

And, I've done a little sounding. It just feels a bit safer knowing the sound is clean, where it was made and of what, and not having it in for any significant length of time - inviting dirt and germs. I guess you could say I like visiting my urethra, but I wouldn't want anything living in there. A cheap Chinese insert would scare the heck out of me, and some of the designs seem to be parts that could come apart and get lost in you. That would be a nightmare.

Yer darn tootin' they are, especially if you've never had one before, and don't recognize it for what it is until you're really really sick. I had one, and by the time I realized how sick I was and that I needed to see a doc, I was so sick that I fell down on the floor in front of the door. I knew I was too sick to drive, but I was going to try to crawl to a neighbor's house, which would have been a distance of some five hundred yards...but I passed out before I could get the door open. It's all a little fuzzy, but I think I laid there for two or three days (could have been less? Not really sure) before I managed to bounce back enough to get upright. At that point I felt I could drive, so I got in my truck and went to the nearest med facility which was 20-some miles away. I was on a mega-dose of Cipro for two weeks. Doc said I was lucky, if it had got any worse it might have killed me, especially if it spread as far as the kidneys...don't know if it's true, but there's no way I would want to go through *that* again.
