New caged member...

Post by SomeoneTX »

Hi y'all.

Brief history:
My key holder (wife) and I just started playing with chastity about 3 weeks ago and I've now been locked up for 15 days with one night of no device (last Thursday). When we first started we ordered a cheap device from eBay which didn't fit for crap. Reading reviews and opinions on this site of devices we decided to order a MCN Contender which I've been wearing since arrival (15 days ago.)
The cheap device caused edema just under the head on the underside of my shaft, removed the device and mini me went back to normal within 3 days....

Question/Concerns:
Just today am seeing a large edema forming in the same area on the underside of my shaft. My device is a little large in diameter (~1/4") and length (1") for me which I am ordering another this month to remedy.
Can the size being a little large cause edema? Should I remove the device immediately or would it be ok till Friday (scheduled release)? No discomfort felt I just don't want to do any permanent damage.
Ive also noticed along with my glands being swollen due to being full my member is also slightly thicker than normal which I don't know is normal.. The base ring I feel is a great fit as its not loose nor tight.

Please share any and all life experiences and comments/concerns.

Mine is not as loose on the diameter, so I can't say much for that. But mine is about 1/2" long for me when flaccid and I have had no problems. I don't think being too long is causing it.

I am currently playing around with a hybrid - parts from various modified Chinese crap. It's pretty good in some respects - a very small cage where I'm squished in has made night erections a breeze.

After 24 hours I had some minor edema at the base of my penis. At 48 hours it was too much to ignore - and my scrotum seemed kinda unnatural -swollen, big balls.

One of my questions in the quest or the perfect device is the break in period. At 48 hours, I took mine off, the edema was gone 6 hours later, and I had no issues wearing the device again for about 12 hours. I had to take it off then for issues outside of chastity play.

Soooooooooooooooooooo, getting to my point, you went into this hardcore and long term play. For guys smarter than I, does some break-in and patience allow your equipment to get used to its new situation? Does wearing the device for periods of time, giving yourself a break, and trying again condition your parts over time?

Part of the issue may be an increased level of excitement/arousal due to the 'newness' of the experience, which tends to be tempered with time.

I have never had problems with too large a cage causing problems other than more painful erections. My Contender fits perfectly when flaccid, touching the sides and tip slightly and I have worn it for weeks at a time with no problems (out for cleaning and play on weekends).

The glove fit I feel is what's needed so the skin has to stay in place therefore there won't be any bunching of loose skin after attempted erection which I think is the initial cause of the edema. But I'm no doctor.. I have been keeping an eye on my little guy and it's no more swollen than yesterday so I'm gonna continue till tomorrow.

I don't consider this very hardcore but going from my 1-2 orgasms daily to none during this initial trail period has been pretty difficult. And on top of that my KH on Tuesday implemented a rule that I'm not allowed to say anything sexual or release won't be Friday ( tomorrow I'm so EXCITED). Since I'm extremely sexual she is giving me 10 chances then Friday is no more. I'm down to 4 verbal slips left. Didn't realize how hard it is not saying I'm so horny or telling my queen how badly I want her... How sexy she is..
She told me she does not think I'll make it which is why she implemented it... Love!

Using a good petroleum lube in the beginning and plenty and often in the beginning can help immensely. You are locking up your junk and there are areas that are not breathing (for lack of a better word) like they did before the device. The skin in those areas with metal or plastic against them 24/7 can cause irritation without the use of a quality lube.

I have been using A&D Ointment for years, although just a dab now a couples of times a day. I used to get minor skin irritations in the beginning but since switching to the A&D all skin problems disappeared even while locked for months at a time.

A&D Ointment is the same thing I would recommend and I use also. Even with a custom stainless device it can cause some friction. I find it works well, stays long and also heals any minor issues that happens if you catch a bit of skin while in high activity sports.
I have finally found the device I needed to begin my journey in chastity. I have never been happier in my marriage to my wife, lover, soul mate and now Keyholder.

Badger Hand Balm around the base ring is the greatest thing ever. I've never been forced to take a break because of skin issues.
