Penis plugs and turtling

Post by robsleaze »

My tiny penis scuttles into the body at the first sign of excitement. I am thinking about a tether spout to prevent that but not convinced - all seems a bit unprofessional. I was wondering if penis plugs are just as good at preventing turtling? I've worn one before and seem to remember if made no difference but that was long ago. Any thoughts? I would want to attach it to the front of the cage, with a padlock

IMO you are just asking for issues. Size the device right and you won't have an issue.

I personally will never stick something in my urethra nor recommend it for anything more than say using urethra sounds for a couple minutes, but even then, it's all playing with fire. You don't want a urinary tract infection, or any number of issues that can come from it, such as chaffing the walls and causing legions etc.

I know some people wear em with their devices, but IMO if you really want to not size the device right, get a PA piercing and be done with it. The whole goal with all this is SAFETY. You really don't wanna end in the hospital for anything. Sometimes the extreme is just for fetish, rather than realistic usage.

I wonder, do you by any chance think that the fixing for a PA piercing goes somewhere else than inside one's urethra?

And, by the way, the author of this thread has mentioned (in another thread) that he already has a failed PA.

There is a huge difference between a piercing and a plug. A plug you are essentially stretching and contracting the urethra around a tight object, which in turn provides irritation and constant trauma as it doesn't function like a piercing, nor like an implant. There is no healing, no scarring. It's stretching, which can rip and tear. A piercing, you actually remove a certain amount of tissue when piercing, thus relieving much pressure and skin/tissue trauma. Comparing the two is like comparing sticks to stones and shouldn't be done. To add... with piercings, in most cases you are dealing with highly trained and skilled professionals if you go to a real legitimate shop, that is using techniques perfected in the last few decades, which are now industry standards. Also, the jewelry, piercing needles, and all tools are autoclaved before they enter the skin while it's an "open wound" essentially. Unless you autoclave the plug every time you use it, there is a high chance of infection each time it is inserted due to tearing and scraping. You aren't re-opening a wound or creating a wound each time with a pa piercing.

But anyways, just coming at this from a professional point of view, as myself, am an industry professional.

Ah. I think there is a misunderstanding here (a good deal on my part). There is the TetherSpout (mentioned by the OP), that I have experience with, and then the "penis plug" that some may consider analogous but to which you are objecting specifically.

The way a TetherSpout is installed and the way it later spreads any forward pressure on the urethral wall causes no more stretching/contracting/trauma than when a PA fixing is slid in place or when the cage exerts some forward pressure on the piercing's wall (Arguably, since the same force is distributed evenly around a much greater tissue surface than in the case of a PA fixing, a Tetherspout is even less traumatic during day to day wear).
A TetherSpout is not at all like those "penis plugs" that are literally forced through the urethra's constrictive opening, and I agree, a forced-in "penis plug" is likely traumatic.

We use penis plugs as an alternative to a full cage, when just token security is all that's required, but I'd advise against inserting anything permanently as part of a cage. You will find plenty of horror stories in this forum.

However having a plug in place is a very pleasant sensation and if you are sensible there will be no problems. Just think about what the entrance to your penis puts up with in the normal run of things. It's not watertight.
Get a small top quality solid plug. My opinion is that anything with a through hole is asking for trouble. The plug needs to have nowhere for dirt to collect. It must be top quality stainless steel, with a mirror finish.

The idea isn't that anything should be stretched or painful. If it hurts stop at once.

Used sensibly penis plugs feel good, but as part of a cage they are asking for trouble.
With cages it's difficult enough to keep the outside of your penis clean. Tether Spouts look a really bad idea, as they surely trap material behind the lip.

I wouldn't want legions in my urethra, especially the French ones, all that garlic!

I'm wearing my Looker 02 with a plug 24/7 for about 3 months now. Some months before I have done the same. The plug of the Steelworxx Looker is made of medical grade titanium and I got an optional screw at the tip to close the opening (only opened when I need to pee). I will desinfect it every time a get it in after cleaning again and I desinfect the whole area frequently (and the screw each time I have been to the toilet at home). I have been cycling with it, playing soccer with some kids... and most of the time I don't even recognize it's there.

I can insert the plug without any problem (using some waterbased sterile lube) and I did not need to stretch my uretha, so I don't know what "trauma" you're talking about. Piercing the uretha to put in a PA seems much more "traumatic" to me. I still do not understand how the "tether spout" is being installed and used, but it seems that it is going behind the narrow part of the uretha...

As Thumper said in his blog there's always a risk in everything you do. An UTI is certainly no fun (and should be treated quick and in the right way if it occurs), but I have had no problems.

Is it secure? If I wanted, I probably could pull out after a hot shower, but I don't care.
Happily locked by my wife in a Looker 02 with just 48mm total length => it still went in like "nothing" :)

That is a totally baseless assertion. What "material" do you think is in your urine that would get trapped so???
Are you routinely passing minute kidney stones?
I have worn TetherSpouts over more than 8 months now (in 1-2 weeks stretches), and I have never noticed any accumulation of anything.

Why do people have to come up with imaginary problems when they hear of something new? You make me think of those folks who, at the time of the first vaccinations, were arguing it would cause people to exhibit bovine features.
