Keptforher - Disappointed

So, long story short, I had to buy a new HT tube only for my cage. Nothing I did, dogs decided to use it as a chew toy as I was released and in the shower for a cleaning. Well, I spoke to keptforher email rep, and they hooked me up for a discount code and all. Sweet. I got the tube for a really good deal. Went ahead and ordered it and received it today. I opened the box and was feeling the cage and looking it over as I always do to make sure its smooth and has no rough marks...

Well, it looks as if the inside top has road rash, and the seem is extremely uneven. I bet you can take a dime and lay it next to it and it might make it even with the other side. I am disappointed. If it was anything small, I would just sand it down and be done with it. Thats how I am. But, there is no way you can even sand this thing. If you do, it would take days, and youll be lucky to get it smooth without messing up the cage some how, plus you cant sand the hard to reach places.

If I wore the cage the way it is, I would have a bleeding penis by morning, no doubt.. Ill include some photos, but I promise you, they dont show any justice.

I emailed them about it and I'm hoping they will send a replacement out. From their FAQ and TOS, it says I have to return the old one first, which sucks, but I dont blame them. I just want the new one here quick!!

No manufacturing process is perfect, and Keptforher is just the distributor; it's unreasonable to expect them to hand inspect every item shipped in.

They have always been good to work with; if you send them a polite note with your concern, and show the pictures of the bad seam, I'm sure they would be happy to replace it.

Yep. Thats what I did. I sent them an email just expressing what I found. I wasnt rude or anything of that nature. I was happy that they hooked me up with the discount and everything. Cant ask for better customer service

Just for reference, you can sand down the seam - cut a strip of fine grade wet and dry ("Emery") paper, use an elastic band to attach it to your finger, then wet it and rub.

I had to do this with my HT2. I didn't think anything of it at the time because it was easy and I guess we all have low expectations.

Trust me, I would try, but its very very rough. I had to sand down my original some. The cage is very snugged on me, plus being a firefighter and wearing at work, I need it to be almost perfect and very comfy.

But Keptforher is going to keep me updated and will find out Monday what the plans are.
