I've been following this thread with much interest because I've been thinking about picking up one of those A080 style devices, just to play around with it a bit. Mrs. Edge still isn't 100% sold on a MM device, but I had thought I'd be able to modify one of the Chinese stainless devices into something.

The flaired ring design looks fascinating, but you're right - the base ring and the cage rings are not flaired in the same direction, and the gap looks pretty large. I see where this idea came form and I like it, but the cage rings should have been reversed, i.e., the same direction as the base ring.

JB Weld is essentially a tough "bondo" filler, and needs a lot of surface area. It's good as a filler, but not that great if it's going to be rubbed or banged by something else.

I also have been following this post and have just ordered one with an additional different sized ring to try out as the idea looks good. I should have it in about a week so I will be able to give my thoughts then.
Another design we like very much but as yet have not been able to find in the correct sizing. But will keep looking

Well, my second attempt with the JB Weld Steelstik was better, but ultimately not successful.

The first time I attempted to use a very small amount inside the cage loop that goes over the post. That cracked out easily.

The second time I wrapped the post in a thin layer of plastic kitchen wrap, assembled the unit and built up the JB Weld around the post area. I let it cure for several hours. It looked pretty good, and I got to wear the device for 24 hours, but it became clear the JB was failing. The stuff is surprisingly brittle. I see a few areas where I can improve my work, but I doubt the material is up to the job.

But, while the device was working it was a revelation. If you look at this thread, my first device is an almost absurdly large and heavy cage. The new stainless cage is very small compared to typical off the shelf diameters for Chinese devices - which in turn are similar in diameter to the CB series cages.

The new stainless cage is very lightweight, and with its small diameter ring structure worn with a smallish 40mm base ring, it was very comfortable. Think about it, with a large base ring and large diameter cage, your scrotum gets stretched out so your balls sit outside the base ring. In this case, my balls were much more relaxed sitting more in front of the small base ring. The cage was canted so that its first ring was almost inside the circumference of the base ring - keeping that gap small and the device secure.

While my cock was rather squished into the cage, it was comfortable. Hygiene might be a bit more difficult as the skin is in constant contact with the cage, but I was able to move things enough in the shower to clean up well. Night erections were much more comfortable. As many others have reported on this forum, a small cage keeping the external portion of your erection at bay seems to really help. The small cage was also much easier to accommodate under daytime clothing (jeans in this case).

Interestingly, I thought the cage might be too small as a guideline toward a full custom, but now I wonder if it is the right direction. It would certainly be nice to get more experimental time.

With more experience using the JB Weld, I may make a third attempt, but I'm not optimistic about the material itself. I've looked into lead free solder that would be compatible with stainless, but the cost would be about the price of ordering yet another Chinese device.

Ive just ordered the 50mm Ring only from DHgate.

Ive the steel A086 chastity device (sprinkler head) and this device doesn't have a curved ring but the connections for the base ring look the same so ill give it a try.

It will take a while before it arrives in Ireland 4 weeks approx or less.

The big reason ill try this ring= the normal 50mm ring i believe is just a mm or 2 too small for me as its causing a cut like ring on my left side close to the base ring connection at the top.
This curved ring looks a little wider on the sides and it was cheap enough not to try it.

Ive escaped every device i've had and variation of gaps and rings since 2014.
The longest i've stayed in my device was 6 days full-time before a single Cut appeared.

I've had to put it down to my physiology = High n tight/One large ball and one small flexible one & I'm a grower not a shower.

With all this I believe even a custom device would end up costing a lot sending it back again and again for adjustments and never getting it right.

So what is the actual measurements of the Oval shape? Width, height and or the round equivalent? DHGATE only gives one dimension.

After a wait of around 3 weeks my device finally arrived yesterday, so now to try things out. My first impression is that the shaped cock or base ring is very comfortable to wear. The gap between the cage and the ring is large but it can be reduced with a little bit of metal work. Which I will do this weekend. I would have liked to see the gap between the two bars at the head of the cage a little closer as it does allow the very tip of the penis to protrude through if you try to grow resulting on the very tip rubbing on your jocks. Can be very sensitive. Another area I would like to have seen differently is the penis head ring a little smaller creating a firmer or better glann fit.
Over all through, very comfortable to wear but only time will tell after I have made the mods.

Now that I have had a couple of weeks trying this device, over all I have found it to be very comfortable to wear full time. 99% of the time you don't even know that you have it on. I have altered my locking shaft so that the gap has been reduced by about 5mm. I now only have one final problem to resolve and that is over the day the cock or base ring pulls down away from the body, not uncomfortable but not right. It would appear that the sizing is slightly out. The ring is a 42mm, but on detailed measuring of the oval ring the narrow width is 42mm but the longer length of the oval is 45mm. 3mm larger, which will be contributing to the pulling down away from the body. Thus I have just ordered the 40mm ring to see if that is a better fit. :?:
