Hi LockedUp24,
The base rings I make with the "Combo" locking system, are made with a perfect round bar, and the sides are not squared.
Red Chili: Does anybody know this French cage manufacturer?

Ah NUTS.
Can't find anywhere that does this type of base ring in a 55mm.
I'm not a DIY guy and don't have the tools to do it myself.

I saw that some ring diameters can be ordered in different thichnesses. What does it change, in term of confort? Is it only the weight sensation that will change?

Papageno.
It would reduce the skin spread under the testicles.
Example would be a cb6k base rings are very wide compared to a steel device having rounded base ring.
If you are a high n tight a thinner ring might be better but the gap would be fractionally wider due to the base ring actually being thinner so this would need to considered.

I'm happy to wear a London Tower, with "no escape" locking and ultra secure had. I find its quality very satisfaying.
With this cage shape, I can insert the ending of my little finger between the bars, in order to uncover the glan from the foreskin for a better washing, then put the foreskin back in place.
The ultra secure had provides better protection against foreskin pinching when protruding outside cage.
However I'm not yet confortable enough so as to have uninterupted nights. Ball disconfort at erection attempts wakes me up, but I hope that this will improve when I'll make further night attempts.
One good thing with the 'no escape' locking is that I can adjust the gap by myself. For this, one has to slightly bend the locking plate from the rest of the cage. Use pliers but one should protect where the tools hold the plate or cage to avoid creating scratches on it, as the bending force to be applied is significant.
In order to ease my ball unconfort at night erections, I have slightly increased the gap. A bit too much since I have had one unwanted ball escape in unusual situation. I'll have to reduce it one day or another.
One remark about my base ring: it is slightly non symetric. Depending on which side I slide my balls & cock in it will result in a slightly different gap, one being about 1.5mm wider than the other.
Another important thing to know when specifying the gap when ordering, is that the cage position with respect to the base ring is not as one could have thought: the top of the two rings are not aligned, the cage ring top is a bit 'above' (closer to your head) than the base ring top. This increases a bit the final gap.
