I've used Olive oil to give my wife massages for a few years now. I recently started using it with my cage and it seems to work well! I have a Lori 2A so I'm not sure how well it would work with a plastic or silicon device. I used to have a MM Jailbird that was comfortable and never needed lube, but I realized it wasn't the most secure device and I could pull out if I really wanted to. So I sprung for the 2A and ordered it with a very small base ring and cage. It's very effective at controlling erections and way more secure to prevent pullout. Unfortunately it also means the base ring causes some irritation if I'm aroused for a long time or if it's cold outside... So the olive oil helps around the base ring and it's fairly inexpensive compared to other lubes.

I have tried a lot of things but mostly use a Silicone lube. It is pricey but it lasts a very long time. Lanacane makes an anti-chaffing gel that goes on like a gel but evaporates rapidly leaving behind a dry lub. It works very well but is pricey for a small tube of it.
