gettin ready too order my jailbird! :)

Post by Uselesssissy »

Hello everyone! :)
I am preparing too order my device and just wanted too see what you guys think for the sizing.
Ok my length when soft is at 3 inches once or twice I caught it at 2 7/8 but got 3 most of the time. According too MM sizing guide I should subtract 1/4 inch so 2 3/4 should be a good size?
and my width is right at a inch so thinking 1 1/8 should work nicely for the cage width.
and for the ring size my cb6000s I was using was 1 7/8 and the current device just a cheep one off of ebay since my cb6000 broke has a 1 13/16 ring which feels snug and on the tighter side so thinking a 1 7/8
then thinking of the 3/8 gap let me know what you think thanks. :)

It's a gamble to be sure. I'm on my third MM device and I finally got it right. Try to get the cage diameter right the first time. You can't change that. You have a little flexibility with the cage length and if you get it wrong, MM can change it for $100. Although the instructions say subtract 1/4 in, some have found subtracting 1/2 in is better from the cage length. if you can afford it, buy the 1 7/8 in base and also get the next smaller size, the 1 3/4 in. It will come already mated to your cage and you won't have to mail the cage back to get a smaller base ring. It's an extra $60 or so. A 3/8 in gap usually works for most folks.

One more thing. Although you already have some wearing experience, don't expect to put it on and forget about it. You will have to "wear in" to the new device. Maybe much longer than you think for your body to become accustomed to it. Took me a month or longer before I could wear it 24/7. Don't give up and think that something is necessarily wrong if you have some discomfort issues to begin with or even at times later on. Use lubricant very sparingly and only a very small amount when and where you need it. Good Luck! The JailBird is a great device. When you get the right fit, you will love it.

If you are considering the security screw, you might want to think about having them do both holes. It's 40 bucks i think, but you can use the screw, pad lock, or plastic seals.

I find that the pad lock allows a slight movement, so if we're using the lock (instead of the security screw) I put a stainless screw in too, just to tighten thing up.

You'll like the device no matter what you choose.

I agree with Wishful4, " The JailBird is A GREAT device! When you get the right fit, you will LOVE it." It feels so good, and it is so easy to keep clean.
Past Devices: Curve & CB 6000s. Both broke, were repaired; then broke beyond repair. I threw the dreaded Spiked Chamber away.
Current Devices: MM Jail Bird, Cobra, MM Watchful Mistress, Holy Trainer v3, and a new Curve.

Thanks for all the great reply's! so thinking things may be better on the tight side? Made up some rubber rings at work the other day one ended up being a 1 1/16 and the other was pretty much a inch maybe a hair under. They are in more of a tear drop shape but I could push on them and make them more circular just thought they would give me a little idea of what size too get. It probably would be a good idea too order the sizing ring kit from MM but I could use the money for those towards a extra base ring. Any ways the 1 1/16 ring slipped on with little resistance but felt a tad lose once it got past my head. The 1 inch had a little more trouble going past my head but felt nice and snug once in place. The rubber could of made it harder too slide on so might of been a good idea too try it again with some lube. And thinking I will go wit a tighter 2 1/2 cage length. I must say I am pretty excited about getting this device and all your comments are a great help!
