Hello there.

I'm approaching to chastity lifestyle with an unknown device (read the topic in the link) so I'm starting to get worried about the possible issues that a fake device can cause;
first of all, can an "unofficial" chastity cage be carcinogen in any way (cause of the materials that were involved in the production or the process itself)??
Thanks to anyone that will answer to that. Have a nice day!!

There is no way that any of us can know whether some device that you purchased from some unknown (to us) source could be composed of materials that might be carcinogenic- you are asking for a feat of psychic talent on par with predicting the correct winning Powerball numbers in correct sequence for every week of an entire year.
However, yes, you are probably being paranoid. It is quite unlikely that this thing will cause cancer.
Your biggest issues are most likely to be questions of comfort and durability.

On that regard, I have not tried yet for more than a couple of days, but it seems comfortable. Thanks

No problem...oh, and don't worry too much about your English- you're doing a lot better than some who know nothing else.

Re: Health concern (Am I paranoid?)
Your bigger worry should probably be with the rings and their ability to cause damage down there. When we first started chastity play years ago, I ended up with Epididymitis, which is extremely painful. That infection spread to my prostate gland, and that ended up leading to chronic prostititis - which I have to take a low-dose of antibiotics every other day to keep at bay. Even at that, I still have very painful flare ups a few times a year and it's no fun at all. And yes, it was caused directly by a CB-6000 - as I stated in another post, when I first saw my urologist about this, he looked things over and asked me if I'd been messing around with "cock rings" - and of course, I said "No!" Since I'm shaved and he knew better, he told me he's seen a bunch of cases where guys mess up their "plumbing" by wearing cock rings too long and trapping blood and semen in the pipes where it can't get back into the body, things get infected, and once that happens, it sets into motion the chain reaction of events that occurred to me. Since then, we've figured out ways to do this stuff without trapped ball devices! BE CAREFUL!

Any suggestion to prevent this kind of accidents? And: may I ask you which ways did you found to play chastity without trapping balls?sissyrandi wrote:Your bigger worry should probably be with the rings and their ability to cause damage down there. Yes, I am wondering how tight and how long you went to end up with epidimytis?
Past Devices: Curve & CB 6000s. Both broke, were repaired; then broke beyond repair. I threw the dreaded Spiked Chamber away.
Current Devices: MM Jail Bird, Cobra, MM Watchful Mistress, Holy Trainer v3, and a new Curve.

Re: Health concern (Am I paranoid?)
After seeing this post, I undertook some research into this covering a variety of sources, including the NIH and the UCSF course on diagnosis and treatment of GU emergencies. While it is true that constrictive devices such as cock rings and inadvertent constriction may result in penile damage/injury, I did not find any linkage between such constrictions and epididymitis from reliable, informed sources/medical professionals.sissyrandi wrote:Your bigger worry should probably be with the rings and their ability to cause damage down there. This statement:
appears to be ill-informed/misinformed and lacks confirmation by medical professionals. Indeed, the potential damage and complications from the mis-use of cock rings and other constrictions is/would be far more severe and would arise in a far shorter period of time than that which could give rise to 'infection from blood and semen being trapped'....seen a bunch of cases where guys mess up their "plumbing" by wearing cock rings too long and trapping blood and semen in the pipes where it can't get back into the body, things get infected, and once that happens, it sets into motion the chain reaction of events...
All of the professional material I have reviewed indicates that infections causing epididymitis (and resultant complications) arise from the introduction of bacteria into the urethra from outside sources, and the retrograde spread of that infection into the GU tract.
The top three causes of such infections are:
1) Chlamydia
2) Gonorrhea
3) E. choli (most particularly notable in the very young and very old age ranges due to lack of hygiene- i.e.: not changing one's skivvies; and in homosexuals and others engaging in anal intercourse...e. choli is present in fecal material)
The professional sources noted that 1 and 2, and e. choli infections from anal intercourse most frequently occur in individuals whose history includes a propensity to engage in indiscriminate sexual activity with a variety of partners, and who fail to use condoms while doing so.
Other sources of bacteria, such as TB, can also lead to it in individuals whose immune systems are already compromised.
I know [from personal experience] that severe dehydration can also lead to a UTI, but the rapid onset and increase in severity of symptoms predicates immediate and drastic treatment such that the risk of spread to the epididymus is negligible in the face of more rapid compromisation of the bladder and kidneys.
While I would hate to paint myself into a corner by saying it could *never* happen, the only hints of linkage between penile constriction and epididymitis I have seen were from uninformed/unprofessional sources such as chat boards like this one.
Personally, I would be inclined to question the knowledge/experience of a urologist expressing this opinion, and look for other possible causes, as well as seeking second opinions- bacterial strains *can* be positively identified, likely leading to a definitive source rather than relying on mere speculation.
(Disclaimer- I am not a doctor, though I am educated and reasonably intelligent and have played one when there were none available...and I have never unintentionally killed anyone...by playing doctor or otherwise.)
