Online Keyholders - What Works Best?

Hi, I am a guy that has an online presence as a cashmaster - verbal abuse, etc. I'm often approached by subs about being a keyholder - even ones that live far away. I get how chastity works in person and have no problems having a sub in a device, but I don't quite get how it works online. I tried to search this in the forums, as perhaps it's been discussed before, but the result was my keywords were too common so apologies if this is repeat material.

Honestly, if it's not an in person sub, I have little desire in it currently unless maybe it becomes worth it to me for other reasons - like holding the key in exchange for a fee (but then, what fee/arrangement?). Obviously not are all into that financial aspect, but I've had enough approach me about this that I figured it was time to at least learn more. And even if I try it without that aspect, maybe I'll end up enjoying it more than I realize

Have you had an online keyholder that lived far away? What type of arrangement was it? How did the Keyholder keep it enforced? What if you wanted out and a Master couldn't get the key back to you right away due to travels or something? What works best?

I might be totally missing the point here, but that's why I'm here, to learn. Thanks all in advance for your respectful responses.

I have my hubby and other long distance subs (only one at the moment for my own reasons) but my boys have rules to follow, punishments for not following them and they are locked, teased and denied.

Sometimes I hold a physical key but they always have access to an emergency key usually in tamper evident wrapping or they use serial locks so you can see if they've been cut. They have to check in with photos including the date or done exactly how I describe.

As for the teasing part, I give them instructions/tasks to tease themselves and deny them (most of the time) and then they lock back up. Pics, video and Cam help greatly in long distance KHing.
