Okay, so DHGate makes it pretty cheap to try a good variety of chastity devices if you're experimenting.
The plastic models (not pictured here) that I tried were the CB6000, the CB6000s, and the CB3000. The 6k and 6ks I received at about the same time in the beginning of this journey and look just like the pics of the models on the CB-X.com website. The 3k must be a clone of their earlier model 3k, using older style rings. It came with points of intrigue (teeth).
I spent the most time in the 6k. It was ok as long as I kept lube with me, but if I didn't lube it freqently throughtout the day, and "Little Erik" decided to shrink and pull a turtle, then there was no chance I could use a urinal. And it felt weird when that happened. In the 6ks, when he decided to pull a turtle, it wouldn't go as far up the cage becuase the cage was shorter, but it would be far enough back that I would still need to sit to take a leak. Frequent lube would help with this also... could always slide things around to push my dick head back up front. The 6ks was just a bit too short for me long term though... after a few days, my Little Erik felt cramped. Going back into the 6k helped to ease the cramp, but only a tiny bit. The real issue is that these were both too narrow in inner diameter. Security was good on these models though.
On both 6k/6ks, I found after a couple of days that the largest ring with smallest spacer was the right combo for me. But after a couple of weeks, they became less escape proof, and stepping down to the second largest ring took care of that.
The 3k arrived around the time that my metal ones started showing up.It's longer than 6ks but shorter than 6k, and it's wider than both. Much more comfortable. Also easier to escape from, and I figure that's why it came with the teeth. I tried the smallest teeth first, and while I was able to escape with lube while totally relaxed, it really did hurt, and I don't think I would ever try that again. But, since I wanted to assue my wife of no escape, I put in the medium teeth. Tought to get on, but done. However, later on, cut my dick while adjusting my package. No more medium teeth (although my wife says she may use them in the future as punishment). Didn't even attempt large teeth after that.
I think the 3k is the best of the plastic. But I do prefer the ring style on the 6k models. I think I will order the real deal.
I did go thru the usual adjustments getting used to chastity (Astroglide X and Hydrocortisone 10 helped tons), but I didn't have any of the quality issues that folks have said to be wary of with the 6k or the 3k. The 6ks I did break rings, but I just used the cage on my rings from the 6k, and had no problems.
Now, for the metal units, since they don't have good names that can be looked up on DHGate, I'm posting a pic here and I'll describe my (limited) experience with each.

Upper Left:
This is the one that I wanted most. I think it looks sweet. And it came with 3 ring sizes. When I ordered it, I was still in the largest ring size on CB6k plastic, and this one came with a large ring size, and medium and small. Seemed like a good deal. By the time I got it, I had already stepped down a ring size on the plastic models, so I was expecting that maybe I would have to try the medium. I did, and it was pretty tight. But I loved the way Little Erik looked in this. Unfortunately, when Little Erik relaxes, this cage is so heavy, when I stand up, it pulls forward/down a lot. And the gap is so wide, I can pull Little Erik right out of the cage. So for security and comfort, this one is a no-go. However, It allows just enough room for Little Erik to swell and be stimulated from the outside, but not be allowed to stand completely at attention. So this one has its use: the wife can tease and torture me in this without allowing me any satisfaction. I can feel every lick and touch of her hand... it's exquisite.It was about $29.

Lower Left:
I bought 2 of these to get both ring sizes. I'm wearing one right now. Now, it's way too long for me, but I didn't have to work outside the house today, so I kind of enjoy wearing it during the day time. Inner diameter is wide enough not to be cramped, and it lets Little Erik breath easily. Just have to sit to pee. But not comfortable to sleep in. About $15, but only comes with your choice of 1 of 3 ring sizes. The medium size ring works, but the cage still pulls forward/down about an inch or so when Little Erik is fully relaxed... so escape from the cage is doable (not the balls mind you... I couldn't escape completely, but if I wanted to masturbate, I could conceivably pull out, do it, and put him back in the cage when fully relaxed again). Since I'm home with the wife all day, she's not too worried about me doing that, so I could wear it in her presence.

Upper Middle:
This one is my newest. Now, it has the clamp style ring, and I've heard guys complain about the clamp hurting their scrotums, but I didn't have that issue using the silicon tube that shipped with it over the joint. This was available in 5 ring sizes, and I ordered with the 44.4mm. The medium size non clamp rings on other models are just 0.6mm wider, but what a difference the 0.6mm makes. Because the cage is lighter and the ring is just the timiest bit smaller, this one barely pulls forward/down at all. I suspect that the silicon tube may play a part in that also. Whatever the reason, I love that this one stays in place. And this one is so easy to pee standing up with. The issues that I have with this are the dimensions... the inner diameter and length are fine only in my most relaxed state. I know some guys prefer this, but I prefer Little Erik have a little room to shift sizes throughout the day (and night). The other thing I didn't care for is not a lot was covered. It is great that the wife can touch it with her nails and toungue, I was constanty having to adust because the tip of the head would rub against my underwear. So I think that I'll only wear this one when I can run around nude. Could not escape. Price was good at $29.

Lower Middle:
Now this one would be my favorite (length and width of the cage is perfect, very similar to CB3000) if there were more choices of ring size. The ring it comes with is the same from the cage on lower left. For me, it's close but not close enough. And this one is heavy, so it pulls forward/down more. But it lets Little Erik breath easily. I think when I order a custom model, it will be like this one on the cage, but the ring will be sized more appropriately, and I will get an add on ring with teeth to prevent escape. $26. Can pee standing up if super careful.

Upper Right:
Now this one I can't give a fair review to yet, because the ring size that I ordered with it was too big (47.6mm). Luckily, other sellers sell the rings individually, and there are 5 sizes, not just 3, so I've ordered the 44.4mm. They also sell an additional ring with teeth to add on for security, so I've ordered that, too. And I'm really hoping the teeth ring being added to the post will make things tight when the lock is on so it will hold the upper cage in place better. The lock by itself doesn't hold things perfectly, so the cage rattles just a little, which allows skin to get in where the cage clamps shut, causing pinching... and it hurts. When i get the smaller base ring and the security ring, I will try again with this one.$33 for the device, $12.50 for security ring, $17 for additional ring.

Lower Right:
Bought 2 of these also to get 2 ring sizes, found out it same rings as lower left. So only 3 sizes available. Wide and comfortable, closer than any other to allowing erection (can get about 75% erect, I'd estimate). Comfortable, not super heavy but heavy enough to pull forward down, and not escape proof. Easy to pee standing up if not pulling a turtle. If ring size was more customizable, this would work a lot better for me and may improve security. $22.

For all metal cages, found baby oil much better and longer lasting than silicon lube.

I do like the *look* of the one on the upper left, it appears to be a copy of the SL-101, but your description confirms my suspicions that I had when I first saw this type. It would be nice if that style, with a little less exposure, was available with a ring/pin system like the CB-x models. The bar style looks like there would be far too much skin exposed and available for stimulation, and I could probably get myself off while wearing it. The lower middle, on the other hand...

Aside from the black one on the lower right, are any of the rest actually SS, or ordinary steel with chrome plating?

I don't know how to tell the dfifferrence between stainless steel and chrome plated steel, at least until they start rusting. I can tell you upper left, upper right, and bottom middle appear polished on the outside, duller on the inside, no visible line like if it was plated on the outside only.

Thanks Slave4missp. I have seen a shorter version of the upper middle and also one with a sprinkler attachment After having a week unlocked I'm now back in my cage. Had an O last night - first one since 1st Feb. I thought it was going to be a RO, but she surprised me and yet in some ways I feel disappointed as now have to start again! Is that strange? Numbered tag in place. I must admit, I prefer seeing the brass lock on top - psychologically, it has a better effect on me. Ok. so update is that now 1 week out of the 3 in chastity. Normally, I would take the cage off today and give it a thorough clean. However, as I have been told it must not be removed for the whole 3 weeks, then I have been spending longer in the shower each day making sure it stays clean.
