FWIW, I currently don't reach the end of the CB-6000S when flaccid, but I was thinking of ordering my next device 3/4" longer just so that the whole package doesn't press against my balls so much when I'm erect. Now you're making me reconsider.
My husband didn't reach the end of the 6000s and we went with 1/2" shorter on Bill's (MM guy) advice. I've ordered a watchful mistress and went with another 1/4" shorter for that, also at Bill's suggestion. Total length for that one will be 1 3/4". There's a picture of my husband in his jb on one of these threads.

My Steelheart, by comparison, has an enormous tube (though still smaller than the erection it contains). I can say that the SH is more comfortable than the CB6K was because I have all that extra room in the tube. How the JB will work out I can't say yet.

My 2 cents, from observing my husband in 3 different devices, one where he had a ton of room (Birdcage); one that was more fitted but still had some room (CB-6000s); and one that is pretty close to form fitting (Jailbird)...
Men spend more time being flaccid than they do having erections, at least my husband does. So having a device that was big enough to fill up on the rare erection moments meant that he had a lot of wasted space all the other time, which just made it uncomfortable. Sort of like wearing a pair of pants that are too big. The CB was better but I don't think he ever was very comfortable in the plastic. The JB is nice and snug and so when he is aroused it seems that he either gets aroused size-wise to a certain point and stops or everything backs up behind his balls, making this big, thick engorged penis base (or whatever it would be called). The former seems to be more common than the latter. Now, just because physically he is restrained to a certain point, doesn't mean that he is mentally. Lots of moans and groans of frustration (which I am learning to really love). Note that he doesn't say anything about these erections (or lack of) being punishing or painful. He says they are frustrating but they don't hurt.
This lock-up (length of which is unknown at this point) I am thinking I am going to do more T&D without the JB on. More erections, more edging and see how that goes. The last time around the game was "locked means locked" and I think I am going to vary that a bit more this time.

My experience when I used the Curve was that there was way too much room, and it would let things get going too far, which meant that the get to a certain point and stop almost never happened. And because things got to run away with themselves, it would pull and get uncomfortable. Moving to the CB-3000 made the getting to a certain point and stopping much more common, and a lot more fun. I'm also thinking that the much smaller ring will let everything sit more naturally, should also be more comfortable.

Ooooh. Shiver. Keyhldr has said about the same thing...
Now that I think about it, erections are uncomfortable in the CB-6000s [Go Benjie! Yankees suck!] but they are not the reason why I'm having problems with the device. The notion that less room == (or is that ===) more overall comfort is so counter-intuitive! So many differing opinions...

J said he was much more comfortable in the 6000s than the 6000, and that even erections were more comfortable in the shorter tube. When he got hard in the long tube, his head would expand and jamb in the middle of the tube, so he wasn't using the whole thing anyway. It also seemed like the vents gave him more trouble on the longer tube. We've been happy with the CB-6000s except for the breaking. J has split the cage twice and broken the ears on the ring twice now. I know we play rough.
Dev, can your husband pee standing up in the JailBird? (oh, I should read the thread before I ask that).
My problem is that flacid I'm longish and with the curve I'm just barely fitting width wise. I'm not Mr Ed but odd in the flacid state I think. Show but not as much "grow" as others who seem to go from an "Innie" to way out there.
I like the look of Thumpers Avatar / metal device but the keeping clean issues sound pretty miserable and part of this for me / us is that this is very important.
Re: the regular unlocking for tease etc. All that sounds like a good time to do cleaning, shaving (If you do that) etc.
