Re: Health Issues
I've been compiling some stuff on this over the years and have written a few rambling blog posts about it.
There's a number of main potential issues I see:
1 - Orgasm provides exercise for the prostate and laziness or atrophy may occur if it doesn't get it. I think kegel clenches help, as does milking. Certainly, orgasm isn't the only way to exercise the prostate.
2 - Orgasm flushes PSA (prostate specific antigen) from the prostate. A chaste male who had his PSA levels tested found they were very high. PSA is linked to prostate cancer. I can find this link if you guys want to see that.
3 - There is a general concern that constant low level inflammation through 'blue balls' etc could lead to chronic nagging prostatisis, leading to high level of cell damage, leading, once again, to prostate cancer.
4 - Some anecdotal suggestions that having continually raised levels of testosterone and other hormones might be kind of band for the heart and the vascular system generally.
There was a study on this doesn't by John Hopkins a few years back now, but I never got round to reading exactly what it says.
One thing I do know for sure - nothing has been conclusively proved one way or the other regarding health risks for chaste men. After all, can you imagine a hospital actually finding a study sample of men who had been chaste regularly, and then testing them for higher levels of cancer or other diseases in later life?
The way things are socially, that study is a long way off.
Also - the point about paying attention to other lifestyle risks is well made. Chastity is probably a lot better for you than poor diet or drinking too much. Fix the big problems first, I say!

I think as long as you don't mention golf clubs, you're okay.
Re: Health Issues
I don't disagree that it is better to be healthy in general but if we can stay specific. Prostate problems are chronic. If "regular" emptying of the prostate is good (Which makes health sense - and this doctor at least echos this concept) why discount it and focus on everything else? YES on having a PSA and a DRE but remember these tests only show you have problems and the next steps are often surgery or radiation and maybe a much shorter life. I would like to avoid that.
And again, I'm very curious about my question. If MC is about improving the relationship for the women does it thus need to be about long term or (full time) male orgasm denial? Is the "point" really just male orgasm denial or is it orgasm control? For the couples that practice control and have a point they want to reach? I totally get this. Men are totally motivated by control over their orgasm and what you can (or choose to do with that) could be very exciting and amazing. If the point is male orgasm denial? I (Maybe its because I'm male and not locked up) don't get this as well. John (Of Sarah and John) seem to have it down to an athletic type compitition. How many "reps" can he do etc. Thats great for them but for me? I'm just not into that - I don't care about it nor do I crave the chance to prove I can go months or years or forever. I would rather push my head into a lawn mower.

Re: Health Issues
It's about improving the relationship, period. Both partners enjoy benefits. Yes, you could argue that the denied partner is giving up more than the non-denied, but speaking from experience, what I've gained far exceeds the value of what I've "lost".Jimi123 wrote:If MC is about improving the relationship for the women does it thus need to be about long term or (full time) male orgasm denial?
I'm not really clear on what you're asking, but if you're not being denied your orgasm I'm not sure you can understand what it's like. Personally, I'm to the point where I'm prepared to orgasm very, very infrequently and I know that to someone who's not into denial and its benefits, that sounds nuts. I'm not at this place because I'm trying to prove something or because I'm competing with someone. I'm here because I like it and would rather feel like I do now than I do when I'm coming whenever I want.Is the "point" really just male orgasm denial or is it orgasm control? Well, let's not do _that_ again
Hygiene in a steel tube is very important.
Hygiene in a steel tube is rather difficult.
Just because the itch might be psychosomatic does not mean you get to ignore it.
So I am out for the next few days. Skin irritation of the Glans due to moisture related chaffing during exercise.
Probably going to the CB6K for nights with honor system (and 6xDesitin applied topically) during the days.
Our other lesson take away is that hygiene breaks for the steel tube are every other day or more often. Lack of visual feedback is quite hampering.

Re: Health Issues
When you say "hygiene breaks", are you saying you're taking it off or that you're cleaning it?
