My wife and I have experimented with chastity on and off for the last few years and she recently agreed (finally) to let me try a CB6000. Previously she thought CBs were just too creepy... But it comes with a bit of a catch in that "you asked for it, now you're going to get it" and she's decided I'm going to be weaned down to just one a month!

On the one hand that's so incredibly hot (and a wee bit scary) but the reality just isn't panning out. In less than a week I'll turn into a grumpy PITA and we keep having to start over before I even make it to the first target.

Do we need to set the bar a bit lower or just keep at it?

And the target is not any given time, the target is happiness and fun for all participants.

I agree with kpb57, the target should be about what you are experiencing not a specific date / duration. Everyone is vastly different and comes at it from a different place. For me it was a casual exchange one night, the next day we went to our (semi) local sex shop and bought a CB-3000. I didn't have an orgasm for 45 days. I had a write up about it on the old site but I think that is lost for good now. For me the post-orgasm crash is pretty extreme while the "denied" rush is also pretty extreme so longer time frames work well. The fact that my wife and I didn't have penetrative sex very often anyway probably helped. We did (and do) have sex quite frequently but I have always preferred to perform oral on her and penetration can often be painful for her. And she rarely orgasms from penetration alone anyways so she doesn't miss it.

There are others here that continue to have orgasms on an almost daily schedule, they are just locked up in between. If I had to guess I would think that most couples (that share here) that experiment with chastity usually go a couple of weeks between releases.

Back to your original question - I think specific dates / durations can create expectations that are either difficult to meet or cause disappointment if you don't meet them. Be flexible and talk it through. If you really feel that you want to go longer than you might want to try "pushing through" at some point to see if some of those feeling of being a grumpy PITA go away after a certain point.

Thanks people. Yes, after discussing it with my wife I think we'll go more by "feel" rather than a set schedule for now. She's still determined to get me down to one per month eventually but we'll go with much shorter terms to start with and mix it up as we go. I guess I'm a bit disappointed I can't meet her expectations (at least not yet) but it's fairly pointless to push it if it isn't working for either of us.

New guy to the forum and to the vanilla chastity lifestyle.
