As I think about it, I wonder if I've over-estimated on those numbers.

Herbi was changed over from his little steel cage to the Cobra Nub yesterday evening.
He wil be in this the whole of August. (Inspections/cleaning/edging as required though)

During August I will be away.
Going to visit my parents for a few days and looking forward to it.
I don't see them very often and it will be great to spend some time with them.
Get out for walks and meals, help them with anything they need help with in their home. and catch up with all the news.

It will be the first time that Herbi has been 'home alone' while locked. I don't know how he will find that but he will manage.
He will have to.
I will be leaving a key with a friend for genuine emergencies.

Herbs has done well over the last 3 weeks since he was re-locked (9th July). I think he's settled into the small steel and now will adapt to being back in the Cobra. He still has the 'standard' steel to do before his next release but he copes with that well too so I don't see a problem there.
I Hope he agrees with me on that.

Sounds like you’re treating him very well and even if he doesn’t agree, you want him to so not many choices there for him to make!

Unashamedly lazy morning.
I got the impression that it was cold, or cooler, outside and the duvet and pillows seemed extra cosy this morning.
So we stayed in bed longer than usual. Herbi gave me something nice to wake up to and then went and made us both some coffee and toast, which we sat up and had together before snuggling back down for a bit longer. Pulled him close and we kissed and talked.

Me: Did you sleep well?
Herb: Ok. I think I woke up three times or so.
Me: Ooo. Aroused?
Herb: Yep, the usual.
Me: I don't like it disturbing your sleep you know.
Herb: I know. It wasn't too bad. Known worse.
Me: Awwww. Do you want to sleep some more now?
Herb: No. I don't think I could anyway.
Me: You're not all hard again are you?
Herb: With you cuddling up and kissing me all the time, of course.
Me: Ooo, lovely. I do love that. Hard and frustrated. I'm sorry about the sleep thing but not sorry about everything else.

I like our little chats.
Often in bed on waking but at other times too.
And poor Herbi is on his little journey but without a map or a compass. He doesn't know where he's going. But it's a nice journey all the same.
He's ok though.

I have a day to myself today. Herbi has gone into the office.
I'll be busy and thinking ahead to Friday when I'll be setting of to see my parents for a few days.
Vikki, my friend, will be visiting us on Wednesday evening to collect Herbi's key. She's looking after it as a “just in case” measure. Genuine emergencies.

Herbs had a good night I think.
Woke hard as usual but got on with his morning routine and then set off for work.

Five nights back in the Cobra so far and he says he's not reached the point of not feeling anything yet. I think it will be soon.

Thursday evening and it'll be one last edge, a nice bath-time clean up, dry off, and lock up.
A week on his own in the Cobra Nub. Wonder how that will go.
