Again, thanks all. From what I'm reading, urethral inserts are dicey at best. I'm a low-maintenance kind of guy, which means I'd prefer to spend minimal time maintaining the apparatus necessary to my kink. I would also rather not endanger my one and only junk on cheap Chinese knockoffs. Perhaps a simple A271-1 is the way to go.

I’m glad those spikes are removable! I have a 272 and a 274, both of which had those spikes as an added option, but I can’t imagine actually using them.

I've used the spikes for other Chinese goodies. Not worth it, in my opinion.
