This question comes up so note we need to make a sticky post. Or its own forum.locknload wrote:Oh, and carolina cyclist, how do you cycle while in chastity? I find riding while locked up unbearably painful. I am a cyclist in North Carolina myself.

Re: Why?
LOL, not quite 'torture' per se (at least, not physically), more like an anticipation, a longing, an exercise in self-discipline and delayed gratification. Psychologically, there *is* an element of masochism in it.locknload wrote:But is the time between chocolates torture?? loo

+1... Ditto, sneaking into the bathroom to finish off, a thing of the past, thankfully, besides the sheer impact of HER control over my sexuality is a constant aphrodisiac heightened by chastity....Bird in a Cage wrote:To curb an uncontrollable masturbation habit. I have no other addictions, so it took me a long time to see the impact of this behavior. In my case, "addiction" is the right word, because even when I would try to stop using the honor system, I would end up "sneaking one in" every couple of days like it was a good thing.

Re: Why?
My wife and I just had a very lengthy and serious discussion about this last night (see my Journey thread for more details). Basically, I believe that men and women were both created to enjoy a certain amount of dominance over and submission to each other.
Per my own religious views, I believe that mankind is significantly off course from where we were originally meant to be (in Christian lingo called "the fall of man" in the book of Genesis).
Due to this, our definitions of sexual roles got screwed up (along with a lot of other things). The original plan of men and women having sexual authority over each other got broken and the more physically powerful man became the sole source of authority in the sexual relationship and the woman was simply expected to passively submit to whatever he wanted.
I believe that the reason so many men (and women) enjoy male chastity and denying the man's orgasm is that it brings a healthy balance of sexual authority into the relationship that both sexes were created to exercise and enjoy together.
And, I believe when both the man and the woman are exercising authority and submitting to the other in appropriate ways, we enjoy each a lot more. What man doesn't enjoy having his wife be a little sexually assertive sometimes? Or what woman doesn't enjoy having her man caress and kiss her and make her feel loved without making her have intercourse? And yet our nature is contrary to this. Women typically aren't sexually assertive, and men are not typically submissive in a way that they would naturally want to have sexual intimacy with a woman without intercourse.
I believe that practicing some form of chastity and/or male orgasm denial lets us experience our sexual roles in a way that is closer to what was originally intended.
