Which style of device is less of a turn off?

When we first started out, I too was very fond of the idea of a fully enclosed plastic device. So we got a knockoff CB series to test if we liked the idea (didn't wanna spend the money on a real CB device if we ended up hating it). We squished the penis inside the plastic device, and I admired it for a few moments, and immediately I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. I also liked the idea of him not being able to touch his penis much, at all, but it ended up not being worth it.

I still liked the idea of chastity, and wanted to stick with it though, so we ordered a metal device. I liked this so much more. When the penis was in plastic it was like when someone presses their face against glass, and they look silly, not in the metal though.

So, my advice, even though your wife really wants nothing to do with chastity (and I know your story because I read your blog) would be to ask her to at least just look at a few options (just email her some pictures to make it easy) and pick one she is okay with the look of. This may be hard to do, and she may not really seem to care, and she may not even agree, but I do think it's worth a shot.

Before I go down that path with my wife, I was wondering if there is a general consensus among the fine people here, especially keyholders, as to what type and material makes the most appealing device...enclosed?....jailbird type?...stainless vs plastic?

I revisited this subject with my wife yesterday. Plastic vs metal? She whipped her head around and emphatically said metal. "No way we're going back to plastic" As much as I thought I was keeping myself clean down there she told me that it's 'heads and tails different' between the two. She also admitted that she really likes the ability to tease me in the WM that wasn't available in the CB's. For example, on the occasion that we take a shower together she loves running her little finger up inside my cage from the front bars, "just to make sure her property is clean" she says. Drives me nuts.

I was rather apprehensive when I suggested the jump to metal. I thought she would freak out at the seriousness of the metal look, the increased cost and just the 'next level' we were taking chastity too by doing this. Boy was I ever wrong. She was ready to move on and I remember the two of us looking at the various styles on the Mature Metal website. Hell, she was so involved and opinionated that you'd think we were picking out a washer and dryer.

My wife loves my Jailbird by Mature Metal. It is an open design with bars that allow her to feel me and stick her long nails into my penis. Plus my skin bulges out when I try to get hard. I also have a security screw so there is no lock to scratch her up like it used to do. It is also aesthetically pleasing. If I lose the keys there are no others.

Thanks, that's exactly what my g/f and I are looking for. We're not too fond of the moisture build up and associated aromas that occur in my tube after a few days. She doesn't mind removing the tube for clean up, but if there was a device like the JB that would allow me to stay locked up and still get a 100% cleaning, then we would jump on it.

Thank you so much GoddessRhea, you always seem to have the best advice for my situation and you seem to really give the subject (whatever it may be) some serious thought.

Anyway, that's a great idea. I plan on doing just that when the time is right. I feel we have made some progress lately (see my story) so I don't want to rock the boat, but when I feel she is more comfortable with the whole concept I will ask her opinion on my next device and see where it goes. I'll only show her stainless devices of course. Thanks again.
