One quick point: the market for chastity devices is very small. There aren't a lot of people/companies out there waiting to steal your idea. Your sales, if you make it will probably be less than the cost to patent the design.

As you can check yourself, some companies do have patents for chastity devices but it doesn't help much ... their products are still copied by some "smart" people in China.

There are thousands of patents for chastity devices, most never built. In the late 19th and early 20th century, preventing male ejaculation was thought to avoid insanity and other dread disease. I love some of those devices...amazingly cruel. For a time, adolescent boys were actually locked into painful devices to prevent masturbation. As far as the modern market goes, patent or not, chastity devices are not mass market items. No one has gotten rich making them.

I have used the solid model a few days and the benefits so far are: no sliding down, almost no push forward when erect.
very difficult to pull out and almost impossible to put back in, very slim design and good to wear in tight pants

The cage however I'm still working on. I've had contact with osimon who would see if he could disign a cage for a 3D printer but he had concerns about the strenght of the base.
In that case its gonna be hybrid, steel base and a plastic cage.
We also had a discussion about open or closed cage and the pro's and con's of both.
An other point is the vulnerability of the balls. I had a few aaawws while wearing so I think of making a pair of caps instead.
If anyone has suggestions about improvements, I like to hear
