I just want to take a moment to caution the newbs that you don't always have to set a record, and that it's perfectly okay if your limit is a week instead of six months. Too often there's an unspoken competition (with others or with yourself) and it can sometimes turn a fun kink into an obsession.

My wearing of a CD is really more oriented towards the bondage, tease and denial aspect. My wife and her lover generally allow me to orgasm about once a week (the longest punishment period has been two weeks), and she has me out of it several times a week for T&D.

Nonetheless, wearing this thing has resulted in (for me anyway) a huge change in my orgasm frequency (though, of course, her's has actually increased)...it was not very long ago we had intercourse with full relief for me at least every other day.

50 days is about the longest I went with no orgasm whatsoever, and it was on the honor system. It was not the highest time for kink between me and my wife, because she wasn't feeling well while we waited for our third child. I focused on "sublimating" my energy and was pretty happy working out, etc.

Sometimes the control is more fun than the denial. The longest I went in a device was a recent 7 day sent in a jail bird. That was definately redhot for both of us. My wife masturbated several times in front of me. Toward the end, she said "we have been having soooo much sex!" It was red hot for me that she would think that way because I wasn't having any intercourse or orgasms at all that week.

It seems like 14-21 days is a good sweet spot when things are going well for us, with one streak riding on top of the other. I am not sure I would be any happier going 30 straight days without an orgasm, than having one or two along the way. Usually, it is a day or two afterwards that is the hangover, and I get over that pretty easily if our relationship is going well.

I have been playing with various forms of orgasm denial for 20+ years, and the best I can say is---try it a lot of different ways. Have fun experimenting with marathons, shorter periods of control, ruined orgasm, etc. Different things will appeal to you at different times. Sometimes, it has been fun to set a goal up front, sometimes playing it day to day or week to week has worked best.

The biggest danger of it being an "obsession" is when it is not fun for one or both partners. It can be such a fun wave to ride sometimes, that it is easy to get self obsessed. You have to check in on how your partner is doing.

For me as well. It's not simply 'chastity', but the forced/enforced control. The device is [one of] the primary means of accomplishing that, along with my desire for orgasm, used as a tool to ensure my 'cooperation'. I am not normally the 'submissive' sort but I find forced control erotic. And even though, technically, our rules/my limits are such that the control is only supposed to apply to sex and 'personal service' (as opposed to chores and ordinary household affairs), I have found that it *does* affect my thoughts and behavior outside of the 'game'...and Mrs. Twisted sometimes takes advantage of that.
