Both types require an electrical cord to be routed to the front of the vehicle (usually tucked in behind the grill) so that the car can be "plugged in" at night.

Where I live, temps in the minus twenties Centigrade are not uncommon in the winter months. Just this morning, I went for a run, and it was minus thirteen C (about plus 8 F).

OK.. but what about the actual diesel fuel oil? (trucks and cars). How do you keep that and the fuel lines from waxing or hitting the gel point? I am sure the mods should move this to another thread on weather conditions!! We have completely hijacked the orginal OP!

In the winter the USA has northern and southern diesel. The southern is normal. The northern has an additive put in it to prevent jelling. When a truck drives from the south to the north they have to time it so they can refuel at a place that has northern fuel before they get to far north.

I think this is the first time a topic's been hijacked!

I don't have problems with this. When it is real cold and I'm know I'm going to be outside for a while, like moving snow, I prepare. I put on briefs and jeans. Then over that I will put on insulated bib coveralls. It keeps the lower half all toasty.

You don't really need to worry about a device when kids are in your future. When the time comes, just take the thing off for a couple of months and get pregnant, then lock it back on. If his balls get too warm or too cold between now and then, it won't matter. A month out of the cage and he'll be back to his "normal" counts regardless.

Assuming of course "morning wood" or an aggressive teasing session hasn't ripped them right off... (just kidding...)

Seriously, chastity devices and procreation shouldn't be a big deal. Take the thing off while you're trying to get pregnant and let his body function the way it was designed. A three day old load of sperm is the most potent for most guys, getting the highest count while having the freshest little buggers (they do go stale, poor things...). Hubs and I went through the whole fertility drill ten years ago. That was when he started wearing boxers (cause tighty whities hold the testicles too close to his body and they're too warm - sperm need something like 94 degrees F for optimum production). I never liked the look of boxers before them, but I guess I associated them with getting pregnant (which is a major, MAJOR turn on - seriously, we are biological creatures after all and... well.. yum). Ever since then I love boxers.

BTW, I'm doing some consulting work for a biodiesel company, and this freezing weather stuff is an issue for us too. Er. them, I guess, I'm a consultant not an employee, have to keep reminding myself of that. Latest data shows the average winter temp in the Pacific Northwsest has declined by nearly 2 degrees F in the last decade. Global Warming my ass...

Just a comment on the cold temperatures if it goes below 65 F here brrrrrr. Currently its 81F and feels great in the middle of November!

Summer is rough though, and lasts a looooong time.
