Steelworxx Locking Post

Does anyone have info on where I could buy a Locking Post suitable for Steelworx devices. I think would be able to find such a lock within the US at a cheaper price. Any leads or alternative ideas would be welcome.

I've been trying to locate that lock too, in order to (maybe) integrate it into new devices I'd like to offer for sale publicly.

So far I haven't been able to find that type of lock for sale in the U.S. I've contacted both MasterLock and Schlage, and neither of them sell it.

So I've turned to Asia, and have found a manufacturer. The drawback though is that I haven't received a response to my inquiry. There'll no doubt be a minimum purchase requirement, so I won't know whether it'll be cost effective for me to get them.

Is there a problem with your lock? I said maybe because I have some hesitation in considering the use of this lock. I understand this lock can freeze-up and stop working, especially when it's used on the PA Lock.

Apparently the salt in urine acts as a electrolyte and creates a catalytic response between the two different metals (brass and stainless steel.) The resulting electrical charge then affects the brass, damaging it and causing it to lock-up and become unusable.

I didn't realize you were talking about the lock cylinder. I have been using the same cylinder for about two years, maybe more, and have never had a problem with it. I do have two spares that are unused just in case. The lock cylinder is made for furniture locks, that may help in searching for a replacement. I found them on amazon.de in the past. With the hassles of shipping it wasn't worth it for me, I just got extras when ordered new rings / tubes from steelworxx. They were more expensive but no hassle.

Yes, I am talking about the integrated locking cylinder. Thanks for the suggestion to look at Amazon.de. I might find it there. I have heard some limited stories of they locking mechanism seizing up. I just want to be prudent.

I've found it at Burg Wächter. It's a cylinder lockblocking key
(which makes me laugh, as I misread lockblocking)

This was on my mind due to Pedro69's 3D-printed KHD v3 which is still in beta. It is designed to use one of these cylinder lockblocking* keys, like those above. However, I haven't seen a supplier in the U.S.A. - only UK and German (Amazon).

Perhaps someone out there will be motivated to chase down a U.S. supplier once it is out of beta!

Off-topic: I have one of Pedro's V2 devices. It's very well designed. I am impressed with his skill in 3D modeling. It fits nice and snug. Unfortunately there's absolutely no room for my PA - thought I may try to modify it. And without the PA, I can fit, but it actually squishes my flaccid head top-to-bottom... like it's being stepped on, so I haven't worn it for more than a few minutes.
