I've been into chastity for awhile. It's progressed from 'a sex kink for a few hours' to something I want to pursue over longer spans. That means finding a device that works for my life with these characteristics:
* Secure
* Cleanable
* Won't keep me up at night
* Won't cause chaffing or sores around my balls
* Isn't unduly heavy
* Doesn't make noise
* Doesn't show a lot or position oddly in tight jeans
* Doesn't interfere with sports that require a lot of flexibility and tight clothing (biking, climbing, yoga, etc.)
* Isn't dangerous (no rust, knocking into it or otherwise won't damage my cock)
* Ideally, doesn't set off metal detectors
That's a lot to ask for. Physically, I'm lean, minimal body hair, mid 20s, with high balls and a small circumcised 'grower' cock that's about 2" flaccid (4" around) and 5" hard (4.5" around).
I started with the CB6000S. It was fairly secure with a small ball ring, but hard to clean, too big in all dimensions, and uncomfortable sitting and at night. The plastic hard-edged ball ring chaffed. It would not fit in tight jeans and was too ungainly for sports. The cage ultimately split. I put it back together and made it much stronger with moldable plastic, but that couldn't fix the other problems.
I moved on to to an A080 steel cage from DHGate that I modified by squeezing the rings together to make it shorter. This wasn't bad, except it had another hard-edged ball ring, so it wasn't wearable long-term, and my head squeezes through the front bars when I play around. The shaft rings are 3.2cm wide. Steel quality was high though; I didn't run into any problems with chrome plating or rust.
I tried again with DHGate with a so-called 'gimp short cage', a design like the A080 except with a solid metal cap on the shaft, one fewer shaft ring, a round ball ring, and a urethral sound I broke off. Apparently it's a copy of the Steelwerx Looker 02. This design is comfortable, but not secure because the gap between the ball ring and the shaft rings is too large. It's also very hard to line up my hole with the hole at the end of the cap, so peeing gets messy quickly. And the shaft rings turned out to be 3.5cm across, so the whole device feels much too big for me.
I've concluded that ball trap devices in general are insecure on me. Any ball ring small enough not to cause problems long-term is big enough to get my cock out of. I also don't agree with the idea that a device is supposed to prevent erections. That doesn't work with me, they still occur but the device sticks out and pulls on my balls. Maybe the pain works to keep some people soft. I'm not sure if I want to reinforce that. I'd still like to be able to be aroused so I can perform if I need to, but just unable to orgasm.
My next thought was a PA and a simple tube like the PA-5000. I made a thin tube in that shape out of moldable plastic to try it. Turns out I can orgasm with it. It's harder, but if the base of my head is exposed, I can. But I'm fairly sure I couldn't have if my corona wasn't exposed.
So now I want something like a Lori #5 (just a tube with bars over the head, no ball ring) that I can attach to a PA. Except for the part about the metal detector, this seems to satisfy everything on my list. Is anyone using this combination? How has it worked out for you long term? And how was the PA experience, and what effects, positive or negative, have you experienced?
