Harsh situation bro... would be a shame to lose you from the forums! Getting women to understand MC can be tricky, particularly at first but with slow & gradual nudging in the right direction you'll be suprised at how many will grow to love and understand it!

I think that at this point, keyhldr most certainly gets it, in terms of what's in it for us. She's gotten fairly fiendish about it just lately, which is fun (to put it mildly).
Re - Internet friends vs. FTF friends - an Internet friend can very easily be a real friend. I've made some very good friends over the Internet over the years. While I do agree that the anonymity can certainly allow me to be a lot more open about certain aspects of my life, it also means that some of you know me in a really deep way that few others ever get to know, and not entirely in a sexual way. I'm sure many of you would be great fun to sit down and share a meal with, and put a face to the name.
