I am a wearer of a my steel belt,
I can not understand why people wear plastic devices,
You know you can remove them by breaking it.
Would you be better with a full steel belt?

With a steel belt you really could kill yourself trying,
With the power tools you will need.
Also cutting a £900 belt would never do

Oh, look what I found: Aviation metal snips for under $12 US.Pinkmysteel wrote:With a steel belt you really could kill yourself trying,

Not a dangerous power tool, but plenty strong enough to cut through the thin gauge metal on almost all chastity belts made. The only exceptions might be the custom trapped ball devices.
Wait, but look: An easily controlled, hand-held Dremel tool with a tiny edge grinding wheel. No danger of killing yourself with one of these. Hell, with a little foresight, you could get any chastity device made off in under 15 minutes. Maybe in under 5 if you know what you're doing.
Does that little motor scare you? Well, here's a battery operated Dremel.
Are you getting the point?
Why won't it do? You just claimed that you could break a plastic device, most of which cost about $150 US. Other than the price, what's the difference? Also cutting a £900 belt would never do

Re: Go steel
I would go after the brass (lock cylinder) on my Steelheart if I wanted to cut it off. Not only is it softer but it is also more protected from me. Or is that I am more protected from it. Yeah, that's it.
Even with my CB3000 I would cut the lock off first as that is cheaper and easier to replace than the locking pins.
I would love to hear more about your mysteel belt though. Some pics would good too.

If it can be made, it can be cut.
Q. Now why don't we just cut to the chase and discuss the latent snobbery of steel devices above plastic (or more accurately, acrylic) devices?
A. Because (being men) we'll all just champion what we bought.

Re: Go steel
Some years ago I noticed the snob hierarchy of chastity. People with full steel belts (Carerra, Latowski, Access Denied) looked down on the trapped ball devices. The expensive, customized steel trapped ball device wearers (Mature Metal, Steelworks, Steelwerkz) looked down on the mass-produced steel devices (the various Birdcage devices), and on the plastic device wearers. And when the silicone devices came out, the hard plastic wearers got the opportunity to feel superior to the squeezable, soft plastic wearers.poor wrote:Q. And elsewhere were the people who claimed that they didn't need *any* device because their mistress/owner/whatever had such control over them that they wouldn't dare disobey.
Each type of chastity has inherent positives and negatives. Those points are different for the individuals using them. This being a group that enjoys devices, we tend to be biased toward devices and not so much about will power.
Full belts are pretty cool for a number of reasons, but *depending upon the individual* may not be very practical. For example, I'd love to have a Latowski, but I'd have to give up standing to urinate, riding my road bike, hiking & climbing, and a few other activities. Not worth it to me.
Custom steel units are nice, but the Steelwerkz is massive, and the Steelworks/Mature Metal devices will need a lot of modification before I'll be satisfied.
Oh, and as it happens, my wife *likes* the clear plastic of the CBxxxx series.
To talk about any device being unbreakable is just stupid. As poor says, if you can *make* it, then you can *cut* it. We make up little scripts in our head to justify what's better, but the *real* reason that nobody talks about cutting a Tollyboy is that it's very expensive. It's not that "steel is real," it's more that "damaging a $1,500 device is more alarming to think about than damaging a $150 device."
So, can we all cut out the snobbery? If you like your expensive toys, that's great. If you like your inexpensive toys, that's great. Just don't lose sight of the fact that they are all just toys in the first place.

Being new to the scene, I find it interesting that this dynamic exists; although I'm not surprised.
I just got the email yesterday that my MM JailBird will ship this Tuesday. The wait is finally over! I have had a great time in my CB6000 clone, however I think that I will have better piece of mind in a device that will seem more sturdy, and will hopefully allow for cleaning without removal to allow more than 24 hr lockdown times. I never ha any bad experiences with the plastic device, but since I was in it 24/7 for 24 days so far, I keep dreading the horror stories of the device breaking when I'm without keys.

Re: Go steel
What I'd like is to have the locking post welded to the cage side, and have the security screw installed vertically into a socket on the ring side. I'd like to be able to wear the ring as a piece of jewelry without worrying about catching the pin on anything, including on Mrs. Edge.HeldForHer wrote:Tom can you elaborate on what you are referring to re the MM mods you'd want/need and why as I'm considering getting one at some point.
