I haven't had doubling over pain, at least not yet. It seems like it might take a little while to get back to normal. It's killing me though being out like this.

I don't think that has anything to do with being a JB but I can understand being cautious. I really think it has to due with being a TBD and putting a little too much stress where there shouldn't be stress.

Between this forum and Thumper's recent blog about the JB, I think I am going to stay with my CB6000s for the time being. It fits well and I have experienced no chaffing. Although my wife was just commenting the other day that metal would look soooo much better on me...
Just FWIW, my husband hasn't had any problems with his Jailbird or Watchful Mistress. They've been comfortable, not chafing, no grabbing, etc. Maybe his daily shower break is a good idea.
Due to the way the cage is mounted, the radial gap of the stock MM devices is unique. Just from looking at the design on paper, the cage portion of the JB should put more downward pressure on the testicles, especially if you're high and tight. But then we all know chastity device design is kind of counter-intuitive (smaller cage equal greater comfort), so I'm not sure observations gleaned from just looking at a design mean anything.

I think more and more customers are requesting that the locking post be welded to the top of the base ring of the MM devices. Bill emailed me that there is no charge for this change when ordering a new device. I also asked about the screw vs. lock. He said the medium security screw is $40 and the high security screw is $60. Can't tell the difference from the pics he sent. Bill is very prompt answering emails and my questions. No doubt I will be getting my next device from MM when I am ready.
I wonder if the medium security is a regular Torx screw and the high security is the Torx screw with the dot in the middle? (The type of screw that is used, I have since learned, on public restroom stalls--so people won't tamper with the screws.) I remember him saying once that the "dot" screws had to be special ordered and were more expensive. This is what we have but we were also one of the first customers to get the screw option. Now that word is out and people are clamoring for them, I wonder if decided to make the differentiation due to easier availability of the ordinary screw.
Just thinking out loud here...this is my guess and it's just that. A guess.
I believe you are right. The high security screw looks like it has a dot in the pic Bill sent, but I can't tell much due to the angle the photo was taken. I'll try to post the pics.

I think you may be right about some of this. I know if the cage was mounted higher (like with the post on top of the ring) then I would want less gap. With the cage mounted lower the gap is different. Combine that with the oval ring and it really changes where the gap really is. I think with the current configuration that my testicles each kind of spread out towards the oval part of the ring because that is where the most gap is. Even before I started having this discomfort I was thinking about possibly ordering a Steelworx device in part because the gap would be predominantly on the bottom of the ring. I also really like the integrated lock. I am kind of holding out on the steelworx though hoping my wife will have a change of heart on the PA. In the mean time I might consider sending my cage back to MM to get a new round ring with the post on top to see how that works out. That wouldn't take too long and would be pretty inexpensive.

Ab and I just looked at his Watchful Mistress. I explained what everyone is talking about/asking for and he said, "Huh?" Didn't seem to be a big deal to him to have the post where it is. But then, his WM is comfortable and he hasn't had any problems so that might color his perception.
