I travel from time to time and just would not chance it. Depending on the scanning process every airport is different. One I might just walk thru, one I might be frisked, and one have the full body scan. If you are nervous they may pick up on it and think something is up and want to search you.

I would suggest either plastic locks, taking a picture and sending to the keyholder at the airport, breaking the lock and packing it under the plane in your bag. Once you land, you could (if needed that fast) text the keyholder when plane lands, go into bathroom soon as you get the bags, reattach with new lock and send pic to keyholder again.

Before leaving, just reverse the process. Keyholder will see same plastic lock when you get ready to turn in the bags and know you had been "kept" while away.

Just a idea.
I have finally found the device I needed to begin my journey in chastity. I have never been happier in my marriage to my wife, lover, soul mate and now Keyholder.

I am currently going through the same dilemma with the same device. I have to fly from Detroit to San Deigo this weekend for work while I just started my first chastity term with a keyholder. But I'm lucky cause my KH suggested I take it off while traveling then reapply at my hotel. She also added a twist of edging throughout the day while I have it off. This should be exciting

When I travelled abroad earlier this year I checked one of my Steelhearts in my checked bag. I would not have wanted to have it on or even in my carry on bag. There were a lot of searches and not only at the main security gate. At one airport we were all searched again in the terminal as we were boarding the plane. That was a pretty thorough search too.

I was glad to have it with me when I arrived though. I didn't use any sort of "authentication" and had the keys the whole time. Due to some of the activities while I was there I needed to be out a lot anyway (repelling harnesses and the like) but it was helpful and comforting to me to have it at night and the other times it was wearable.

Smart thinking, that. :)

The tsa blog actually mentions this. http://blog.tsa.gov/2012/06/tsa-week-in ... nator.html

Not prohibited is the phrase they use, but also go on to say that it can be a problem, especially if there is no key available. I think the message is that wearing one can trigger secondary screening, and that they'd rather not have to make a careful review of you and your device if its not necessary.

Last October I flew from Boston to Charlotte wearing a CB6000s with a numbered plastic lock. Down and back without a problem. At Logan I even went through the full body scanner. Looking back on it now I was probably pushing my luck. Not too sure I would try it again.
Happily secured since 4/2010 :-)

Very good information here. Recently we took a trip and packed our cage in our checked luggage. I wasn't sure whether it would cause any problems in a carry on bag, but it doesn't seem so based upon this thread. I would not have my slave/husband wear it though.

I'm going on a short trip next week and plan on wearing the cb6000 with plastic locks through the scanner. We'll see if i get delayed in any way.
