If you are 50 lbs overweight, smoke a pack a day and your major exercise is taking the dog for a two-minute pee walk twice a day, you are doing a lot more to harm your health than wearing a chastity device is going to do, IMHO.
This.
In our quest to be kinky and safe, this is one of the factors that I rarely see addressed. That said, since we've noted that many chastity aficionados tend to be middle-aged, it might not be a bad thing for us to give thought to the health aspects.
And *that* said, I just need to comment on this:

I Googled and got this answer from (supposedly) a doctor from a women whose husband was in chastity and being denied orgasm.
While "her" information seems reasonable, I wanted to mention that a while back, there was man who posted on several chastity groups who pretended to be a woman doctor, with a husband in chastity. The "advice" she (he) gave was generally sane and reasonable. He was outed when he accidentally sent some emails to people under his real account. The regular members in the groups traded stories and figured out what was up.
I've been looking for information for about ten years, and I haven't run across anything that makes me believe that regular (fsv of "regular") releases are necessary for all men in all cases. One issue is that *some* men can develop prostate (or other plumbing) problems, *but* we have no way of knowing if they are specifically related to ejaculation; the studies are not always controlled for diet, exercise, general health, or other environmental factors.
So, to get back to the original post, there isn't any real answer, except that you can play however you like within reason, and with little need to worry about your prostate health. Just stay healthy in general, get regular checkups, and watch your diet.
