Chastity Plaque

A smaller picture of this is part of a comic strip I posted over on another male chastity site for those of you that may have seen that.
For those that haven't or wish to see a larger picture:
This is an idea I came up with when I didn't feel like pestering the KH anymore about when I would be locked up again after the chastity device had been off for a while.
The chastity plaque is what we use to decide if I will be locked or not. It is an easy way for us to enjoy the lifestyle without it becoming a nuisance. After sexy time while the cage is off, it is placed in the "can stay off slot" of the chastity plaque that is in the bathroom between our sinks so we always see it. When the keyholder wants the device put back on, she simply puts the cage in the "put back on" slot, so next time I visit the bathroom, I know what to do . Works great for vanilla couple like ourselves so long as you both respect the chastity plaque.
You can criticize the half-ass craftsmanship of the plaque all you want, I'm not offended as I am fully aware of it's rather haggard appearance(PetSmart tags n' all, lol!). I'm sure there is someone good with woodwork out there who could craft much finer plaques for this purpose and probably sell them for a nice chunk of change. This one serves its purpose for us, and maybe someday I will invest the time into making a nicer one(or buy one if someone good with wood runs with this idea and decides to make them!)

I think this is a great personal connection that you and your KH have. We have things that aren't perfect, like a production model, that I have made and LRC loves it more for the personal effort that went into it.

I think what you have is wonderful; don't feel embarrassment, only pride!

I like it. I think some couples do it by the KH simply setting the device out to be seen. I kind of like the idea that you leave it out at all times. Then it's really clear it's not "out of sight, out of mind". Your KH sees it every day, and has to give at least a tiny moment's thought to it. That might be all it takes to keep you both happy!

Actually the way we handle it is what I believe to be even better than leaving it out 24/7/365.
The only time the plaque is on the bathroom counter is after we "do whatever it is that requires the device to be off". That way, the plaque kinda sticks out and draws attention to itself when the device is off of me and resting in it's "can stay off" spot. The plaque may sit there for a day or two or three and she usually places it in the "put back on" spot no more than 3 days of the plaque sitting on the counter. Then, while the device is being worn, the plaque goes in the cabinet under the sink. Every time I am asked to take the device off(or when she unlocks it herself sometimes) I pull the plaque out from hiding and place the device in the "can stay off" spot until further notice. This has worked out great for us for several months now. I'm kinda curious, how do other members approach their KH on when they are and when they are not to be locked up?

by the way of course she keeps the key to my device in a small safe on her side of the bed that only she knows the combo to. Sometimes she just hands me the key, other times she likes to unlock it herself, which I obviously prefer

I have been out of my steelheart for a total of about 15 minutes since the end of september. If I am allowed out for play time I am expected to lock back up as soon as we are done. The last playtime I had was early in november and it was a major disappointment (due to poor communication and expectations between us) so it only lasted about 10 minutes.

I take it you don't have kids, or they are grown and out of the house. I can just imagine the questions I would get if I had that sitting on the bathroom vanity.

I agree with Atone on this one. "Not locked up? What's that?"

When LRC gets done with her play time I am told to put the cage back on. When she gives me a treat and leaves it off for a night I am told to put it back on in the morning.

One time she gave me great oral to completion and as she pulled away, and I was still hard, she placed the cage on my chest and said "Put this back on, now!"

Criticize? Hell no, I think it has an appealing 'rustic' appearance. I wish I had the skill to make something half as good.

Nope, no kids for us.
The device usually does go back on if I did not get to climax myself during our playtime sessions since I would be too tempted take matters into my own hands shortly thereafter. However the times I do get to climax, the temptation doesn't really start building up until about the 3rd day after, hence why she doesn't leave the device sitting in the "can stay off spot" more than 3 days.
