I feel like I come at this from a different perspective from many of the folks on the forum. But I'm also so freaking new to this that I feel like a silly newbie.

For me, it's a tradeoff. You're trading off a short burst of intense transcendent pleasure followed by a lull of the mundane for a constant, smoldering lust and swelling loving feeling.

At this newbie point, for me, it's not at all about the escape, it's about the imprisonment. If I get released, it doesn't matter to me that much about the orgasm; I'm loving the sensations I'm experiencing now.

Welcome slaveofmisty! I totally get that and I love it. The struggle recently is what to do when you aren't feeling great so the regular incentives aren't there and you have no energy to blow off steam other ways---like exercise.

We felt much better last night. The final score was Mrs. TCS and her Hitachi 3 and tcs zero.

I think I may have said this somewhere before but don't just vary length of lock up or orgasm rate. Try experimenting with different types of orgasm and see how that affects your experience. I often ruin hub's orgasm or force an orgasm. He tells me this generates totally different feelings from the post orgasm lull you describe and in some respects, is even harder than denial. It does take a bit of practice but we're now at the point where I can demand he ruin his own. That must take some massive will power :-)

That's a good point CQ. Makes me wonder: "What are some of the favorite ways to end a period of denial?"
