A thought I had for anyone that wants a little extra security with this. Frenum piercings are not that strong. But, a simple barbell, put in AFTER (so it's in front of) the retention ring would make it impossible to pull the ring off at all until you opened it up and took out the barbell. It would also allow for a little looser retention (not TOO loose) ring for those that have a lot of discomfort.

Thoughts? I don't see you'd need to make any changes to the design for that to work.

I hadn't really considered it, but a big attraction to something like this is the lack of a piercing. I don't see any reason it couldn't be added.

As for the retention ring. I'm pretty surprised how little discomfort it causes. The retention ring needs to be snug. I wear a 34mm shaft and a 25mm glans ring. I don't really have any discomfort from it. Most people are used to thinking of rings similar to base rings, but the area right behind the glans is far more malleable and has better blood distribution. Also the cage itself limits how much the overalls shaft can grow. I'm never going to grow much more than what it was when I put it on.

The initial spark for this was just me wanting to order a product from a different manufacturer and I was worried I would get a ring that was too loose or too tight. When I first started designing I thought I would order a 28 mm ring, but after actually working with some examples I found that was way to large. I built the original model just to size things out and quickly realized there was a failing in the current market offerings. The glans alone just can't keep the cage on, you need to change the direction of the force to really make it effective.

Have you thought about having an option to buy a couple extra retention rings with the device? Say, if someone says they need a 25mm, they can add on a 24 & 26 for a couple dollars more. Just to be sure they get the right fit on the first try without having to wait to order another ring.

Every order comes with one size bigger and one size smaller. Once I am out of beta, I'll let you add rings to the order at an additional cost. I'll also setup ordering rings individually so if you decide you need a different size you can just order a ring.
