Cold or getting older?

Hey Tongue+Groove, I miss MO, I lived in Warrensburg when I was younger absolutely loved it there, Don't think I could take the winters and all the snow now though. I watched a tornado blow mobile homes around like toys, (no one in them, early warnings worked) from our property a few miles away, Scary stuff. Don't miss tornado season, thankfully not many in Dallas area.

I have watched a few in my lifetime. Several years ago I watched twin funnel clouds go overhead. They dumped a ton of hail in the next town. My closest call was on the drive to my daughters ball game. We watched the funnel cloud touch down behind the Chevy Tahoe I was driving at the time. I stayed in front of it until it pulled back up. While driving it looked like a hundred baseballs were being thrown at my windshield. My son claims he saw some hail the size of a basketball. Once it was all over it turned into a beautiful day. Insurance totaled my vehicle.

We live near enough to the new Madrid fault that we frequently feel tremors and small earthquakes.

I’ll take tornadoes over earthquakes any day.

New England, USA checking in. It's definitely been colder here than the past few winters. Mornings getting ready for work have been particularly uncomfortable.

Well, up here a few hundred miles more north it hasn't been quite as bad this year as it has been some years. Some years it drops to -25 and stays there for 6 weeks or so. This year it's been up and down, no long cold spells and not lower than -15. Looking for a bit of a warm-up this week.

Heard the peepers this morning. The old timers say the peepers have to come out and hide again until they come out for the third time and spring will be here for sure.

We were enjoying sitting out back this evening and saw the first blue jay of the year, for us, day ended nice but storms coming in the morning, I hope the temps don't drop very far- trees starting to bud and wife planted some tomato plants already-oops- Maybe wishful thinking on her part.
If it got down to -25 here for an hour the whole state would shut down LOL.

I lived in Texas for a while, stationed at Ft. Hood. We got a few inches of snow one year. Being from the North, I know how to drive in it, but nobody else did. I was in downtown Killeen doing donuts all through the streets, not another car on the roads, not even the cops.

In January, I change base ring to a larger size. Balls drew up and started to have ball burn. Now that the flowers are blooming and birds are singing and spring is almost here, I have changed back to the smaller base ring.

Spring is here. Running the heater when I get home in the morning, turning the A/C in the afternoon.

Hey Twisted- I know exactly what your talking about, I can drive in it as well but I won't even go out in it because of the ignorant drivers here that think they can drive in it.
I've done lots of donuts in my days here too.
I ran a Ford dealership in Killeen not far from the front gate, used enjoy watching the helicopters and tanks on maneuvers but don't miss the town much. LOL
