Skin flaking off scrotum.

I've been trying to get accustomed to full time wear in a mm jailbird.
I had to have a break as there was a painful red line at back of scrotum and also at the top near the shaft.
The lines developed scabs which pealed off. There did not appear to be bleeding.
Have others experienced this during a break in period?
