Pros and cons of very short tubes

As I've posted before, my wife really wants me locked up indefinitely.I use the word "indefinitely" because she seems to have conscientious objections to permanent chastity. After a couple of months she feels sorry for me and lets me have an orgasm.

If this is what works best for her, I'm willing to do it. The problem I have is I am really tired of the daily removal of my Holy Trainer to clean everything. I want something that can stay on for at least a week between cleaning (preferably longer).

One thing I have not been happy with about my Holy Trainer is the length of the tube. Even though it is the short model, it still seems way too long when I'm flaccid. I sometimes have close to an inch of empty space. I'm considering going much smaller on the tube length with whatever I end up getting to replace the Holy Trainer.

My question is how short should I go. When totally flaccid, I'm only between 1.5"-1.75" long, but I grow to about 6" fully erect. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a snuggly fitting (when flaccid) cage vs leaving a little room for growth?

I have similar dimensions as you do. We went through a LOT of devices before settling on a mature metal with a short cage. Much more comfortable for long term use for me. I found that if the cage allows a partial erection, that's much less comfortable that stopping it from the start.

The longest I would wear it without removing it for cleaning was about 10 days. I know some go longer, but for us it was hard to keep it clean beyond that.

I'm about the same, and have been having similar thoughts in regard to my CB3k. There are times when it looks like a microdick, but it does grow to a decent size.

On the other hand, I have some masochistic tendencies (doesn't everyone who gets off on having their dicks locked up?) and part of the appeal *is* the discomfort of a partial erection, and the knowledge that I can't do anything with it. I wonder if something so small as to nearly completely prevent erection will have a negative effect on the sense of being horny and aroused but unable to act on it. I'm not sure that 'enjoy' is the right word, but part of the draw is the sense of being 'tortured' with the discomfort of a partial erection.

M MM advised me that the tip of your penis should touch the end of the device 90% of the time. The other 10% being for shrinkage situations. After a couple of adjustments, I got the dimensions of my Jailbird to that point. She was absolutely right!

Cleanliness is easy with the JB. I wear it for weeks at a time, and I truly could wear it forever as respects comfort and hygiene. Unfortunately, for me, real life does intrude . . .

Mark from MCN advised me to use the average flacid size. Measure multiple times on different days and use the average.

I mostly measured the same size and ignored the "after shower" measurements and am happy with my Contender.

The 90% rule of your tip touching the cage end works for me too on my JB, and cleaning is easy too... Because it's so comfortable my KH has grown to accept my penis caged permanently with very days being allowed out due to hard physical work getting in the way and potential of injury - I must say I look forward to being back in chastity at night again - I used to have a chronic masturbation habit (not orgasming, but stroking) especially at night.
JB and MM's advice on getting the size right, especially the shorter version, definately worked!

Problem is you are trying to hit a moving target. Your flaccid size changes with temp, time of day, not to mention other things. On top of that, there's probably a quarter of an inch of my shaft visible between my base ring and my abdomen, then another quarter to a half inch of shaft visible between the base ring and cage. Don't forget the width of the base ring. Bottom line, trial and error is the only real way to finally end up with the right length. I'm on my third MM device and I could still go another eighth inch shorter to get perfection but what I have is satisfactory for now. If I decide on a smaller base ring one day, I'll get the cage shortened. As I've mentioned before, make sure you get the cage diameter right because it can't be changed.

I tend to agree with that 90% rule. The only device I wear much is my modified Looker 3. It's short, and I'm at the end probably 90% of the time. The fit is great, and much of the time it's so comfortable that I don't notice it in a "bad way". Only in a frustratingly "good way"

I've been wearing a Mature Metal Jail Bird for over two years. My cage is 1 1/4" long. It is completely comfortable. Peeing is reliable enough to use a urinal and the head of my penis is always in contact with the end of the cage (the right way to fit). Attempted erections don't hurt and obviously don't result in any growth. Fitting is tricky. From my experience, the cage should be about 1/2" or more shorter than your measured flaccid length.
