Responsible opposing viewpoint here: I wear the 1-7/8 solid cuff ring (I modified the CB3K to use the CB2K ring), and I never removed it. When Mrs Edge wanted the cage off, we left the ring on. But even going to sleep with just the ring was fine... for me. I was very careful about making sure that the ring was the best size. The next size down would have definitely been too small to wear as a cock ring.

I have since made a stainless steel ring for the cage (fits the CBXXXX series and The Fort) that is between those sizes (approx 1.810" inside) and it's just about perfect. Based on that, I also made myself a couple of plain stainless steel cock rings, one of which I wear 24/7, only removing it for certain situations. If I go to bed without it, Mrs Edge will usually remind me.

So you can wear one all the time, but you really need to experiment with the size. And it may be that the best size that works for holding your cage will be too small for wearing alone.

I'm locked in a jailbird by MM. I rotate the locking post to below my balls, the ring cannot come off once I get erect, which happens normally the moment she takes the cage comes off.
