According to Ab, that's what it is but it has an extra little pin in the middle which means you can't use any old Torx screwdriver. You need a special one that apparently is not available at your local Ace Hardware.

To me, the screw would only be useful for keeping the locking ring together for sex. I have no clit but I imagine grinding a brass lock against one wouldn't be the most wonderful thing in the world.

Personally, I like the clean, integrated look as a change from the lock. What can I say, I'm a woman and I like accessorizing my cock.

I really wouldn't know since my screwdriver shopping is limited to buying a Swiss Army knife...LOL. Well, maybe I bought a screwdriver once...I think. ::shrugs:: My handy husband is the man with the tools.

As you have said and I agree, a big part of this game is what is between your ears, not how the device is secured on the cock. A lock can be cut; a screw can be unscrewed. If Ab was deviously trying to get out of his JB or WM (rushing off to Sears to buy secret screwdrivers) I'd have to ask if he was 1) trying to make the game more fun or 2) seriously trying to circumvent the rules and get out. I don't think he's going to do either one but you never know...
