Thanks for the link. I have seen this design before. It looks interesting, but I just have a feeling that the hinge on the bottom side would be a problem.
The more I think about it, the less I want anything that has any splits or hinges on the base ring. If it is a solid ring, there will be fewer places to create a raw spot.
