so i usually measureout at just under 1 1/2''. would i be correct at getting one at 1 1/4".

That seems really short to me. I'm that short when flaccid so I haven't paid too much attention to it but my recollection is that the really short guys have more of a problem with pull out, even accidental.

I have found that with many of my customers if they are already using one of the CB series we can take the length of the cage then subtract however much they do not fill when they are flaccid. Then subtract a 1/4". It seems to work better than a ruler.
Now if they are bigger then their current cage then it is back to the ruler.
