I did a little informal calculation based on my order numbers and duration between them. It would appear that Steelworxx processes 1.27 orders a day or 465 orders a year. That was over a 240 day period that included his "holiday" when he closes down during the summer.

I've actually spent time trying to get hard, or at least, reasonable numbers. I know that AL Enterprises (CBxxxx) are the largest company, with reported annual sales ranging the mid to upper tens of thousands of units. Now add to that the smaller, but well known companies - Loris, Birdlock, Bon4, Steelworxx, Steelwerks, and Mature Metal. Now think about that several Chinese companies are making knock-offs (the implication being that they figured it would be profitable enough to invest the tens of thousands of dollars on the dies and molds).

So, yes - somebody is buying this stuff.

One more point: Ten years ago, how many chastity devices did you see in porn? Not necessarily videos, but stills? How about 5 years ago? Now do a search on Xtube, Redtube, Pornotube, etc. Now you can always find some - usually femdom related - videos in which there is a guy in a device. My guess is that once those devices start showing up in regular (as opposed to BDSM) porn, it will practically become a fad.

Of course, then we'll be sitting around saying "Yeah, well, I was wearing one way before it was cool..."

They don't - or won't - release numbers. But some of the online retailers do, which is how I came up with the 50m to 100m units annually.

I spoke to a chastity device retailer a while back who offered an interesting factoid: male chastity devices are the #2 selling sex toy nationwide, second only to vibrators. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to corroborate that, but I could probably be convinced it's true.
