Now that the weather has warmed up ring size is no longer a problem.
My only complaint is the barrel locking mechanism. When the cage comes off there is a very pointy bit that sticks out of the back ring. When Z asks me to remove the cage for PIV I need to spin the ring around so it doesn't hurt her, instead it hurts me in a way that's not fun. I don't think the hex lock version has the pointy bit.
It's still a great device for when I'm out of the house and I'll probably need to file the pointy bit to round it off.
