For those of you who may have missed it on the news.

The comments on the Jezebel blog and on the Reddit group have been disappointing in that very few people are calling BS on this guy, which leads me to think that perhaps chastity devices simply aren't as well-known in the mainstream as we sometimes think, based on what we see in porn and Tumblr.

He must be confusing male chastity devices with conventional constrictive cockrings sized to enhance erections; the conventional wisdom is that one shouldn't be worn more than 30 minutes. Of course, CD devices mostly inhibit the development of an erection in the first place...there's always adequate circulation to maintain tissue health.

How the hell a chastity belt fits into the whole 30 minute thing is even more strange...I thought they were basically 'controlled access devices' in general?

As for MC devices being even close to any sort of mainstream recognition or acceptance.....hardly on the radar, except as a femdom or cuckold accoutrement displayed in a surprising number of videos and still photos from those genres.
