Female Led Relationships: FLR

I have seen several posts about FLR, (Celtic Queen comes to mind) and was wonder if anyone on this forum has seen this website about FLR.

http://www.aboutflr.com/index.html

It seems to be a new forum /education site that is looking to measure how real couples feel about this type of relationship. Because my background is marketing I am suspicious that whoever is behind this site is really looking to collect data on an emerging market....but that's just me...I also think that way when I see stuff like that...

It is an interesting site and I think lots of the information is quite useful. I do wonder who is behind it and yes, all the polls do raise a red flag or two for me--enough that I didn't register or sign in. Even so, much of what they described rang true for the way Ab and I live our lives together.

Thanks for the link.

FLR did not really appeal to us. My wife wants me to be the leader in everything. Well, everything except sex. :)

Interesting site, loads of wrinkles in it though. I wonder what the aim is for.

I think some of the points are a bit nonsense and I did have a giggle over the 5 food groups. Still, there's not enough sensible stuff out there so another site is welcome.

The food groups made me chuckle a bit, too, but I did appreciate that they show how a FLR can exist on a continuum. So many blogs present it as "all or nothing." If a man is not submissive, 24/7, doing 100% of the chores, cooking, shopping, housecleaning, given a $5 allowance to live on (and must account for every penny of that $5), sleeping on the floor next to "her" bed and only invited into "her" bed at moments when decides that she must be serviced...if it's not all those things it's not a FLR and guess what, you're only pretending.

Yup, very realistic. LOL.

I didn't read the article but it does seem that FLR is an all or nothing proposition. Either it is female led or it isn't. In our house I am the head of the household. And, I don't do anything without asking my wife first to make sure it is OK.

And contrary to what my post count indicates I am not the anti-christ.

It was a website not an article but whatever...

Hm, you're locked up, your wife has the key, you don't know when you are going to come again...sounds to me like she has good solid control on one of the five "food groups" (sex) (the other four are, for reference: finances, life direction, free time, household chores) so I would suggest that it is a continuum and you, as a couple, are not at the left hand anchor. Just my 2 cents...

Off the top of my head, this sounds like either Sarah J, or the next Sarah J to come down the pike. We will see!

This was my favorite part:
"Only 2% of women don't like the idea of leading their men in some way and 77% like the thought of leading. That is a change in how things have been done, a departure form the tradition of male leadership."
LOL!!! Yeah, 77% of women - polled on a flr themed site - are into being in charge. Riiiiight.
